Grommet Kit, NEU MASTER 3/8" and 1/2" Solid Brass Grommets with Eyelets Setting Tool and Storage Box, NH1003K

Wanted to convert USA flag from slipping on a pole thru side pocket to being able to hang from hardware on a pole. Worked well for me. Cutter of fabric didn’t work well with fabric of flag but solved issues with scissors. Just made a small star cut at marking from cutter. Better to use smallest cutter when marking spot, and to cut small with scissors, then adjust.

I bought this kit for punching new grommets in a couple nylon webbing straps. Worked great. I don't know why people say the cutters don't work, I had no issues. The cutters are only sharpened on one end though, so maybe they were using the wrong end? Just use the sharp end and put a block of wood under your material and you shouldn't have a problem.The grommets themselves seemed a little thin but they are actually quite strong. I deformed the first one by hitting the set tool too hard with the hammer, so I removed it. I had to cut it with snips and pry it apart with needle nosed pliers to remove it so it definitely wasn't going anywhere. Just don't hit it too hard to begin with like I did or you may deform the grommet. Use lighter hammer taps to set it. You can always keep tapping it again until it sets evenly.

I like that this kit was inexpensive and didn't require special tools. It worked just fine for the applications I had in mind. I do wish it had more grommets with it though.

High quality kit. Easy to use perfect results

It seems like good quality, but one of the two tubes that punch holes in fabric that we received is so dull that it won't even pierce the fabric. There were also no instructions on how to use this kit so we had to do some research.

I bought rubber floor mats for a new Subaru Outback, and punched holes to secure in floor pegs. But, the driver's side started to rip.So, bought this kit to install grommets. Worked great for me! Not sure why people complain about cutting holesin material, but worked fine for me. I had second thoughts about the grommets fitting thru rubber . . . but, worked fine!Now my floor mats will be secure on floor car pegs without ripping the rubber.

Nothing negative to say, just wish it came with more grommets. Just make sure you don't pound them with a hammer too hard.

this item with the tools was priced well but the threaded male inserts would not thread into the handle. I tried many times but kept cross threading. I achieved the job with a little improvising.

Great to have these handy. All the tools work perfectly, as long as you follow the directions. Easy to use, strong and excellent price

As with other reviews, whilst the product is well presented there is a basic engineering fault in that the threads of the interchangeable die pieces that have to be screwed into the hammer piece do not match and they bind as soon as you attempt to screw them together. A really basic fault and the product should be withdrawn from sale.,
