The new, improved version is definitely improved
I've read a lot of reviews about these over the years and the consensus was that they were cheap and the mounting bolts were crooked and the instructions were bad. This review is written 11/2020 and I can reassure people that those issues are no longer a problem.I ordered 4 numbers...each of them were solidly made, the mounting bolts screwed in easily (do it by hand, of course) and the installation was fairly easy.Go by the instructions in terms of how to install. Earlier reviews said to ignore those instructions but they are more substantial now and the size of the drill bit you need to use is 100% accurate (earlier versions had smaller bolts and said to use 1/8" bit...only use that if you want to drill pilot holes). The proper size of drill bit to use is 5/16" Wiggle it around a bit as you go in and out to give yourself a little room. the 5/16" bit drills a hole that is SNUG but that's what you want with these. I didn't even have to use any kind of adhesive gel/silicone to keep them in.STILL DO NOT USE THE HOLES MARKED ON THE TEMPLATE. As others have suggested, place your number over the template (bolts down on the paper) and mark where those bolts hit with a marker or pen. That way, you know exactly where those bolts will hit for the drill holes.Tape up your templates with a level and ruler so they are even and straight, then use your punch to hammer in the marks where your bolts hit on the template. Give it a good pop for each one and then take the numbers down.Drill your holes and give it a little action as the drill goes in and as it goes out. You'll find that the fit is still tight but accurate. At that point, I went from one number to the next, just getting the bolts in place with the holes and then tapped them each in by putting a cloth over each number and using a rubber mallet to tap each bolt area of each number.Voila. Quick and easy and accurate. Took me about 15 minutes to install 4 numbers and again, I didn't need to use any epoxy or silicone to keep them in. They're snug and solid (I installed into wood so if you're going into masonry or brick, make sure you're using a masonry bit. The rubber mallet is the secret weapon here...you can get some pressure on the installation process without damaging the numbers or bending them. Just be sure to cover them with a wash cloth or something so you don't leave any marks.Overall very happy with these and the process itself. Even a novice could do it. Just take your time marking the templates with the bolts, take your time getting the templates level and the numbers spaced properly and you'll be good to go.

Free returns are NOT on all numbers!!
I did not end up keeping these. But actually have used this brand/style before & love them. Just wanted to warn other potential customers that not all numbers are free returns and therefore return via different services.

Fussy guy NOT in agreement with other critical reviews (particularly about templates/hole location)
I read a lot of the reviews before ordering and installing twelve of these numbers (3 lines of 4 each). All these complaints about the templates and checking allignment with the numbers are - simply - silly. In my humble opinion, anyone who found themselves with an allignment issue actually had a problem with their setup and drilling, not with the templates. The setup and drilling does require a certain amount of precision in order to get everything aligning perfectly. In my case, there was a challenge there as I was drilling into an uneven (stucco) surface. As such, I needed to exercise some persuasion (like another reviewer, a rubber mallet with cloth over the respective digit). That was sufficient to end up with a visually perfect installation. My recommendation: ignore all the comments about checking template alignments and questioning drill sizes. The directions are simple and clear enough, and all the technical aspects are correct.

Modern and beautiful
This is exactly what I’ve been searching for. This number looks great on my new house. So modern and sleek. Directions were very easy to follow and come with a template to drill the holes. Would purchase again

Mounting peg broke
The peg to make the number “floating” when mounted broke off in the number 4. Very annoying.

These look fantastic!
My wife and I were looking for updated house numbers and we fell in love with these. They are very sturdy and easy to install. The hole locations on the template don’t match up with the screw location so you have to double check and remark the exact locations. Putting them on the house is easy. I recommend using a 1/4” drill bit vs 3/16 to give yourself a bit of wiggle room if the holes are slightly off. The numbers fit snug in the holes and look great!

Good quality, fairly easy to install
Look nice, installation is easy enough but make sure you line the numbers up yourself. The bolts are always a little crooked which can make the alignment off. So mark those on the template before you space them out on the wall or surface you’re going to install them on.Clearly there were quality issues early on but these newer ones are solidly made and the bolts are strong and the numbers themselves are solidly made. Do not overtightrn the bolts when you put them in...tighten only by hand, they do not need to be very tight. They will stay put. Add a touch of adhesive to it if you’re concerned about how well they are connected but don’t tighten the bolt into the number with anything except your hand.

Modern and exactly what I wanted!
I wanted to update our house numbers for some time and had seen these numbers used in several other people’s projects, they are exactly as advertised. Love that they have a 3D effect when mounted.

Good
Instructions could be better. Used a YouTube video to help. Would also have been nice if it came with glue but we luckily had caulking on hand.
