Yes it can Jennifer! I bought this bag for my camera and was so surprised when I found out the lining comes out!! It's an awesome bag no matter what you use it for.

Yes, the strap is adjustable and actually becomes quite long. I carry it cross-body exclusively...it's a really great bag for my needs. We even put our passports and tickets in it when we travel.

Q: I have a Nikon D7100 with 24-85 lens on it, and usually bring 10-20 wide angle as well as 70-300 lens. Is this bag roomy enough for my stuff?

Not sure but I take my canon t3i with an extra wide angle lens on the side my go pro with accessories and a small digital camera
