Exactly what I was looking for
I gave this five stars in the first two categories, but just four in "versatility," because, well, it's a cooling rack. I suppose you could use it for a few other things, like thawing, and drying, if you are like me, and have a dishwasher, but have a few things you must wash by hand.I suppose in terms of easy storage, it's pretty versatile. It'll store with the baking sheets, the cutting boards, but it's not so big that you couldn't store it with the dishes if you wanted to.But nevermind. It does what it is supposed to do, which is a far better consideration than whether or not I can fix Apollo 13 with it. It does what it is supposed to do really well.Hanukkah in coming up, and I've been tweaking my sufganiyot (a little like a jelly doughnut) recipe. I'm trying to get a product with a slightly longer shelf-life, but still a preservative-free, homemade product. Also trying to come up with a good recipe for gluten-free.So I'm cooling lots and lots of pastries that come out of a fryer. I need them not only to cool, but to cool on something where they aren't sitting in puddles of oil. I want as much excess to drip off as possible. I set a cutting board on the counter, put the towel I used for rising the dough on that, then the rack. Popped all the sufganiyot onto it right out of the fryer, and otherwise ignored them, went back and tossed another set into the fryer. But the time I was done frying, the first several were cool, not greasy, and had a perfect crust-- crisp but not crunchy, and not cracked (which happens when I cool them in the fridge). That will probably help with shelf-life a little right there.Once I was done frying, because the first ones were cool, I could start injecting the filling right away, and when I sprinkled powdered sugar on them, it remained a light dusting-- when they are oily, it turns into a greasy paste.I make tons of these around Hanukkah, and I expect to make more with the GF recipe; additionally, I make bread at least once a week. One rack will probably be enough for me, but they are a little smaller than a typical cookie sheet, so if you bake for more than just your family, more than a couple of times a year, you might want to get two of them.I have put it in the dishwasher four time, so far, and it has not warped, nor has the finish peeled, or any parts come loose. Also, it fits very well in the bottom rack of the dishwasher.Highly recommended.

Perfect for an unconventional use
I do a lot of smoking and curing of meat. These come in very handy when drying out meat in the fridge before smoking in order to form a pellicle. To avoid an unattractive grid pattern on the bottom of my masterpieces I place a few paper towels on it and rotate it, changing the towels, daily until I'm happy. These fit absolutely perfectly in a half-sheet which makes things so crazy easy. I'm putting pork butt, steaks, and brisket on these things. They are not light "cookies" and they hold up to the strain very well. This isn't a typical use for the racks but it is a great use. They clean easily by hand with a scrub brush. They are also very affordable. I could not be happier I bought two.

A Fabulous Find
I don't do a lot of reviews, but these racks are so amazing that I wanted to give this company a thank you. They are sturdy, well made, first rate and easy to clean. I bought two of them because we were having company and I was going to be cooking quite a bit. They were used to first cool the potato latkes I made (some of you will know what these are) and then I used them to reheat the latkes. They worked beautifully and fit perfectly into the vegetable roasting/cookie sheets I have. I also made pancakes for a large group and was able to place the racks again in the pans and keep them in the oven which kept the pancakes warm as I made them. I have been cooking for more years that I want to admit and only wish I had discovered these sooner. You know the old saying, "you don't know what you don't know." They can be used for many more things like cooling cookies, and anything else that needs a flow of air.

Simple Product - Versatile and Works Great
This is just a steel rack for cooling. We use this in the oven over a large baking pan to cook bacon, chicken, pork medallions, and lots of other foods. We have used it as a cooling rack and it works great, but we find it far more versatile. Typically I wouldn't even review something like this but this thing is just super quality and deserves 5 stars. It feels substantial and solid, is easy to clean, and being solid stainless it's not peeling or losing its finish after many uses. It keeps our food cooking out of the drippings / grease in the bottom of the pan.Great as a cooling rack, great as a rack for cooking in the oven to hold your food up.Great quality and a good buy if you need one.

Super useful, could be more durable
This rack design is exactly what I've needed for so many cooking tasks! Specifically, I got it for chicken wings, to keep them from getting soggy while they bake. Works beautifully. However, I lightly tapped the edge of the rack on my counter to shake off water and one side of one of the feet popped off the rack. The welds are not strong. It's still usable for sure, but that was a bummer. Another downside is how much scrubbing it takes to clean baked-on food out of the grid, but that can't be helped.I still love this rack, but I might try a different brand next time.
