you will love this book to find some inspiration
Not what I was expecting but yet interesting. To be honest, I was looking for a book about Pinterest but one that would have focus on the way you could use this social media as an artist. So when, I browse through the book I was dissapointed because i was expecting something different. Then, I went back at the beginning and learn about great creative people who were willing to share tip and secrets to realise craft, paintings and original gift through this book. And it was a really nice journey as the artists are all different in their art, personality and process they are using to create stuff. If you are into making your own calendar easily, drawing on a mug, painting and decoration, you will love this book to find some inspiration. And it's also true for Pinterest. Whatever you are looking for on this social media, you always find yourself seeing cute impressive picture or learning something new to try at home.Nice idea for a Christmas present.Lucienewbooksonmyselves.blogspot.fr

Not what I expected
I had expected tips on how to better use Pinterest not how to make some simple items. I have tons of craft books. This has only one item that interested me. I am giving the book away at our next club meeting.

This will turn your ideas on....
Inside this creative and color filled book are the ideas and "pins" that can make magic happen for a craft project. There are simple and easy "pin-worthy" items that make is easier to put a craft piece together. If you have used Pinterest(c) at all in the recent years, you know that the followers on this web site are going to "pin" a picture that has a project, recipe, picture, quote or anything they can enjoy and save it to a folder they create called a "board." This allows the user to return to it later to pursue or get information from, maybe even drool over at another time. The challenge now that you are a member with followers, is then to "pin" as much as you can. Your friends "pin" as well, and there it goes to friends of friends just like Facebook(c).How this book helps is there is usually a list included of materials needed to complete the projects given. Some need few, others need many. The idea is to gain a project collection to be able to fulfill your own needs when you want to.The book has 8 sections:PapercraftsHand LetteringPatternsWatercolorIllustrationDoodlingCraftsMixed MediaThere are also "Artist Tips" all through the book for more hints on making the most of any given craft you wish to take on. The biggest advantage to this book to me, was the step by step approach with the "pinned" pictures as the guide for each step.If you are interested in the Pinterest(c) way and need help with crafts - this is your guide. I found it easy to use, and beautifully designed with the full color photos that help even the youngest crafter and certainly with the most beginner project. Try for yourself and see what I mean!***This ARC copy was given digitally and free by Edelweiss and its publisher, for review purposes. My honest opinion is not a reflection of Edelweiss, nor its affiliates.

A great variety of pinspiring projects
As the subtitle states, this book is about creative prompts and projects inspired by Pinterest. There are eight artists that create 25 projects. Marisa Edghill (@OmiyageCA), JamieLyn Nye (@iheartnaptime), Khristian A. Howell (@KhristianHowell), Molly Jacques (@MollyJacques), Amanda Wright (@witandwhistle), Gemma Correll (@gemmacorrell), Ronda Palazzari (@RondaPalazzari) and Flora Chang (@FloraChang) are all artists/crafters you will recognize from Pinterest. Each section includes a small bio about the artist and also has tips about Pinterest scattered throughout. There are also two blank pages after each section for "Ideas & Inspiration." A great place to plot out an idea before committing yourself. The projects are well-photographed and should be relatively easy for beginners. I already have used Gemma Correll's How to Draw a Cat project as I was drawing with my daughter. Turned out cute even though I can barely draw a stick figure. I also plan to make some of the kirigami flowers that Marisa Edghill has in the Papercraft section. I found enough projects that I would like to do that I'd consider this a good buy. It doesn't hurt that it's just fun to read!I did receive a copy of the book from one of the authors. But the above opinion is my own.

Pretty projects with all sorts of materials
I love how pretty this book is. I'm a big fan of craft books that cover lots of different materials and types of projects and that is just what this book is. I like to pick up this kind of book when I have a bit of time and feeling crafty but I don't have something specific in mind or when I am in the middle of a project and I feel like it needs one more thing but I can't come up with it on my own. I highly recommend this book for a gift to a new crafter to learn a bunch of great starter skills or an avid crafter who likes to try all sorts of fun projects.

Deludente
Progetti davvero semplici a dir poco banali. Non ho trovato nemmeno un progetto degno di attenzione. Potrebbe essere indicato per i bambini. Personalmente non soddisfatta.
