This hat kept my head more-than-warm during this last particularly cold and long NY winter. It is a bit larger than I expected, not in the circumference but in the length. This is actually a good thing, in my opinion, because it allows for me to adjust the fit exactly how I need it depending on how cold it is and my hairstyle (e.g. there's more than enough fabric to pull it over the entire ears or even lower if I want, and it can easily accommodate a ponytail or a bun and still cover my entire ears).The fabric seems to be of high quality and is soft yet sturdy. It is thick and very warm, so this hat would probably not be appropriate for only kind-of-cold days, but it is fantastic for very cold weather. It kept my head warm when the weather was in the low teens and there was wind and snow. The fabric was not itchy at all to me. It also did not cause static electricity for me, so it was easy to take the hat off indoors with little more effort than tidying up stray hairs.

The cap fit as expected. It's snug and very warm. I really like the color too. The material seems good. This is the first Carhart brand item I've ever bought. If you are looking for something to keep your head warm during winter, I recommend this cap.

Pretty color (I purchased the raspberry), soft knit, and very comfortable to wear. I put it on immediately after it was delivered and I don’t want to take it off. Nicely warm, and soft against the skin. It does have a bit of a peak at the crown but hopefully that will flatten out. The label says that this was made in the USA. Definitely has the USA high quality. If you are looking for a warm and comfortable cap, especially if you have very short hair (or no hair at all), think of trying this one. It is just about perfect.

I have bought four of these hats. I buy a new color every fall. These hats are thick and very warm. They fit kinda tight then stretch out a bit after wearing for a few months; the stretch doesn’t effect the quality, the hat is still thick and warm, it just fits better and is softer when it gets broken in. I hand wash and air dry mine when they get dirty. Really well made, probably the best hat available for $10.
