What every manager needs to read
The original One Minute Manager gets a lot of attention, but to me "Putting the One Minute Manager To Work" is a far superior book. Unlike the OMM, this book deals with the reality that in practice everything doesn't always go so smoothly. This book deals with those issues. I would definitely recommend reading the original first, but the two books should be bundled together, in my opinion.

This book is still great practical management book
This book is still great to read if you are looking for a practical management guide. It is not very long, and tells the management issues simply, giving you a practical work-environment examples. This book does not require you to read the one minute manager. It can be read separately, although you might get more out of it if you read first the one minute manager. The style is not a research-style but more aimed for "normal" managers who are busy and stressed, and want to read something easy and quickly that would help them improve their management style and practices.

1 Minute review (Some get it some don't)
This publication helped bond my staff and create an atmosphere of collaboration. The 1 Minute Manager boils down to a couple of simple steps. Manage your staff and not let them manage you. (Don't let the tail wag the dog). Creatively critique when mistakes happen or behavior needs modification, but most importantly, let them know when they do things right. The book could be summed up in about 30 pages. Good product if you are attempting to define your leaders in your organization. Some get it some don't. Those that don't....get rid of them.m

A MINUTE IN TIME
Ken Blanchard has been a great educator and provider of good training materials. Timeless and always a great gift idea for the upstart sales force as well as a very good reminder to those in sales on how to hone your skills.

An oldie but goodie
I love story telling as a teaching tool and Ken Blanchard tells a great story. The story is fresh but management principles are timeless. I give these out to business associates and they never fail to thank me profusely.

Life changing if you follow these books....
Someone recommended the one minute manager books so I decided to invest in a few. They all just make perfect sense and the putting the one minute manager to work is great to read after you have read the original as it gives really easy tips on how to get into the one minute mindset. My staff have noticed the difference and I am less stressed and happy at work. I lent my staff the book to read so they are fully on board too.
