Description

This pigment is to be mixed at a ratio of 2-3 grams per 100 grams of resin. This pigment will make the resin or neutral based gelcoat turn the solid pigment color. Do not try to mix this with resin that already has color in them like a white gelcoat. It will not change the color of white gelcoat to the same color as the pigment, it will only lighten it. This pigment is very useful if you are making cosmetic parts as the color will hide small defects. You can also use dyed resin with fiberglass to turn the fiberglass from clear to a solid color. The dye is also helpful as you can eliminate a post-production process of repainting. If you mix the dye in the resin then you can achieve the color you need right away and it will go all the way to the part instead of just being a surface coat. There are many uses for these dyes and they are a very useful tool in the composite workshop. The available colors are: Black, Green, Blue, White, Red, Yellow. The pack of 6 pigments will contain 1 pack of each colour. The packaging of pigments have been changed due to customer requests. It now comes in a dropper style bottle. How to use: Make a hole using a sharp pin in the inner cap of the bottle. Add a few drops of pigment until the uniform color is achieved in the resin. More drops of pigment can be added as required.
