Paprika is one of those spices we go through a lot of in my house. We make many of our rubs and seasonings. It seems like many of them call for a good bit of paprika.What this is:This is the bigger size container of Paprika from McCormick. It is a 16 ounce size. McCormick's average sized spice jar holds 1.62 ounces of paprika. This is over 9 bottles of paprika. The price is a good value also. Under $13 for 16 ounces of paprika.How I tried this:First I tried it right out of the container. It is not spicy. It is not smoky. This does have a little flavor.There is a slight tang. For me, paprika is often used to add color to a dish.I used this to make a flavored mayo using lime juice, mayo, a little paprika, garlic and a touch of salt and pepper. The paprika offered it the speckled red that I am accustomed to with paprika.5 stars because I know McCormick is going to make a good paprika. I always judge a spice by what McCormick's taste like. Great price. Great quantity.

Deep red in color, paprika provides an appealing subtle sweet pepper flavor and serves as a visual accent for foods like deviled eggs, scrambled eggs, rice dishes and as a component in various dishes and spice blends, rubs, etc. This extra-fancy paprika has a fresh flavor and the 16 ounce tub has a lid with a flip-top that reveals a shaker opening on one side and an opening to accommodate a measuring spoon on the other.Ingredients are paprika along with silicon dioxide to make it free flowing. There is a tight foil inner seal to keep the product fresh and ensure it arrives untouched. To estimate shelf-life at the time of this review in January 2022 the Best By date is 20 months in the future but dates will vary. Excellent.
