Sara Berman's Closet

I enjoyed this book and have gifted it. It’s a sweet message that we all need to remember. It’s especially good for those who love or at least appreciate unconventional and/or modern art and the beauty in a regular life.

It's a sweet small story, affectionately told, about a simple life, well lived. The illustrations are such a pleasure, a sort of reminder to appreciate all the small things we see and love in our own small worlds (including our linen closets!)

This semi-picture book offers a unique window into Sara’s life. It’s a quick read, but very poignant. I would have loved to have met Sara in person.

Charming illustrations, charming story, charming gift for any friend whom you love and have had forever.

Sara Berman's Closet looks like a wonderful exhibit and a fitting testament to an interesting life. But the book is disappointing - too many repeated photographs ; there are three identical photographs of one pair of trousers - not even a detail or close up - just the same flat copy. I did not know her daughters illustration work and frankly, it's not great.
