This was a fun option for the Pinewood Derby. Beware, this is not legal under PWD rules, but could possibly be used if your pack has an open class race

I bought this on a whim and built a car from scratch using this chassis and 4 of the zinc blocks for weight and was shocked when it won the whole derby in a field of about 20 cars.

Absolutely like the ides of a lego car derby.

You can now build a "competition-ready" car, truck or boat for Pinewood Derby competitions.Be careful to keep the weight below the 500 gm maximum. And in our competition my little Lego men kept flying off my 'boat car' at the end of the track. Best to use a simple design and maybe even a little glue to hold the blocks together.I was able to add some thick metal washers inside my car to bring the weight right up to the limit.Weight near the back of the car probably helps more.My 'boat car1' did great - finishing 2nd overall in stock and the larger one was in the Open Category.

All Lego cars but at the Pinewood Derby speed. These specially made cars are faster than any Lego car plates from Lego.

A good alternative to the pine derby cars.
