Great ceiling hugger, nice design with good out-of-box balance. Hard to install. Poor wall control.
This fan is very attractive and moves air well, quietly. It was a real pain to install though. And the wall switch is poorly conceived. It is not easy to walk in and casually turn on either the fan or light. I wish it offered a hard-wired control option since I have the necessary wiring already and many probably do. I don’t like the trend now days to only offer wireless control options on fans. Additionally, I find it annoying the wall control is battery operated ONLY, so even though there is power available in the wall jbox, I have to instead plan for occasional battery changes on the switch in the future. We shall see how often that is needed. Also, one of the two of these fans I purchased occasionally turns the light on without anyone pushing the button in the room. I am wondering if it is receiving some sort of aRf interference or maybe a nearby neighbor also has a same-brand fan...this only happens with the fan that I left on the default DIP switch setting...Another good note is how well this fan ticks up to the ceiling while still moving air quite well. We have relatively low ceilings that don’t quite reach a full 8 ft, and being 6’5” tall, I NEED a fan that tucks up to the ceiling as much as possible; this fit the bill nicely. Incidentally, in case you are curious, the fan on high pulls approx. 72 watts; the light an additional 17 watts. Finally, the light output is disappointing. It is a dreary, dim very soft (read: yellow) light. There really is no excuse these days for these light assemblies not to have brighter lumen output, and for the manufacturers to not offer more than one color temperature option. I’d be willing to pay additional even to buy a better light kit for it, but alas none is offered.

Great, Quiet Fan
We love this ceiling fan and installed it in our bedroom. It's quiet yet powerful. All the settings seem just right for what we need. The low is barely there but gives a nice, relaxing slight breeze. The middle is not too strong and just right. And the high is surprisingly quiet despite the voluminous air it generates.Installation took about the time expected but the directions were clear.LONG TERM UPDATE: It's been almost three years since we bought and installed this fan and it's still going strong. No problems with the fan or light.

outstanding fan
Good deal considering it was listed for 300.00 on every ceiling fan/lighting website that carried it. Not only was is more, none of them had it in stock. I was hesitant to buy a " used" one on amazon but this size fan was the only size that would look right in our remodeled kitchen. It came to us in outstanding shape. Actually it looked new. Box looked new, components were all wrapped up. The fan itself is awesome. Moves alot of air. Easy to install and the remote can be placed in where the light switch goes. The remote doesnt hard wire in, it runs off an odd/ short 12V battery that looks like a AA battery. Just follow the instruction for the wiring if you want to install remote into switch box on wall. Good lighting from the light kit. Intergrated LEDs. No screw in bulbs. Can be installed without light.

Well isnt that small
I got a fan like this for these featuressmall , oh yea, makes the whole room perceive to be bigger when it is so tight to the ceiling, and unobtrusive.Short , from my ceiling , the light dome lowest point is about 11"Remote for the wall , I needed the "control" for the item to remain in one location (oh you know how that is) with the decorator sized insert the remote goes in the light switch box as a BATTERY operated remote , completely not connected to the wiring . the battery type is commonly not reliable. There is some delay sometimes in Reaction, to turning on the light. The light dims on, even though there is no dimming present to the setup, this makes the light slower to come on, I don't need that or like that, but I recognize it is a bit fancier. The fan has 3 speedsLOW , spin around a bit , move some air , make no noise , take little powerMEDIUM , a gentle breeze , quiet still, nice power levelHigh , kick up the dust , hear it working, mostly air friction sounds , small room has flow wind down the walls and around even. The blades are wide and short as you can see, it IS different air movement, right Under the fan is a breeze like you would get from a Box Fan , then it swirls around to the rest of this small room.Again, the air movement is heavily concentrated straight below the fan blades, in a circular breeze zone.REVERSE the fan, and the excessive concentration in the one small area , is hitting the roof instead. and the swirling of it down the walls and around is then seemingly more even to the human.Installation is , lets just say pure hell :-) that will do. much stuff to cram in , and nothing to temporarily hold it at the mounting like a bayoneted mount would do. With the one person installing, I had to install it 2 times, and on the third, I might get it perfected , when someone can Help hold the dang thing. It came bent and wobbly like everything else, I just squished a few things back and it is completely acceptable.the case is all metal. the light is sufficient for any single small room like this might be used in, but would not be a full light for a large room.Because of the size and length of the blades, there doesn't seem to be any of the usual balance problems, making the flush mount a bit happier.Later after I get more use out of it , I will update, this is like 1 week report

Mind of its own
**** UPDATED**** This fan and light is Harrington annoying! It’s been 7 months now. The light and fan both go on and off repeated, light a strobe. We don’t even turn the light on any more because it won’t stay on. I wrote the seller and their suggestion was that I may be experiencing “fluctuations” in the electrical current. Uh, I realize that may be a problem in third world countries but not the case here. Now need to invest in a new fan and install because it’s too late to return.Original review: This fan works good, noise level is low, has good air movement but the light comes on and shuts off randomly. Usually once during the day and again every night. We come down in the morning every day that we’ve had this fan and the light is on.

Very quiet, smooth operation
This is a very minimalistic looking fan, very nice lines. It is very quiet and easy to operate. We are very happy with it.
