These little kits are great for beginners learning to crossstitch whether you teach yourself or someone helps you! The patterns are simple, very cute, small, and fun! My friend got this kit for me so I could learn, then I bought one for my Mom!

I sent this to my niece for her birthday and I got praising reviews from my sister. It was perfect to teach her how to learn a new hobby. They enjoyed the playfulness of the pattern but also the simplicity of the design so that it was uncomplicated to create. It checked off everyone one my boxes for a fun birthday gift!

I believe another reviewer said he was a 23 year old who decided to pick up cross stitch. I'm a 24 year old male and had similar thoughts for whatever reason. I really like the design as it's not too flowery and doesn't feature some silly quote on it. All in all, it's a nice little introductory kit for newbies (or I suppose more experienced cross stitchers who want something easy to do). The design is pretty simple, there aren't too many colors, and it comes with everything you need except for a pin (You'll be fine without one if you don't have a pin as you only need it right at the beginning). The instructions for the basic stitch are good; I had no trouble figuring out what to do. The other two stitches, the back stitch and French knot, are a little less clear, however, and that is why this is only getting four stars. The stitches aren't that hard to do, but they need more clarity. Thankfully, you can easily find better instructions on the internet.One thing not included I recommend: Cut your thread close to the holder and then separate those threads from the main strand. It's easier and it won't get tangled as often and, if it does get tangled, you can pretty easily untangle it.

I bought the robot and the kitten. I just finished the robot (it didn't take long, about 2 days working on it a few hours each day), and he turned out really cute! The kit comes with everything you need (except scissors), complete with an embroidery hoop which you can use during stitching and also to display the finished project. Easy project for beginners, uses the basic cross stitch, back stitch, and (a new one for me) the French knot (for the little red dot on top of the robot's antenna). If you don't know how to do any of these stitches, the instructions walk you through the whole process. Can't wait to start on the kitten!

Opened this up right away and started stitching it. The only thing I did not like was the little hoop it came with. It seemed to small. Finished it differently. It was a very simple stitch to do. Recommend it for a beginner stitcher.

I ordered this as my coworker mentioned she does cross stitching. I love my crafts and wanted to give it a try. I did try a more difficult cross stitch and got too overwhelmed with the multiple colors and it wasn't very beginner friendly. This cross stitch was "Sweet" so to say! I really enjoyed doing it. It came out super cute! The instructions are easy to follow. The kit has everything, 3" Frame, Aida Cloth, Needle, embroidery floss, and the Instruction Chart. I am a 22 year old female. I wouldn't recommend this to kids below 12. Cross stitching take quite a bit of patience. Will definitely purchase more again!

Not sure why I didn't get cloth with holes in them already so have to puncture holes with the needle , and it doesn't come out looking neat. But the whale was cute. Wish they had sent the normal cross stitch fabric

Came with plenty of thread and worked up nicely. It may be a bit complex for someone who has never done counted cross stitch before, but it's good for someone who has done one or two starter projects and understands the basics. I did this up as a gift and changed the word to thanks using a separate font pattern. It turned out great.I used a scroll frame while working on it as the frame that comes with it doesn't do a great job of holding the material taut, but it does the job for finishing.

Lovely kit, brought for my daughter (8) for christmas. looks good quality and very reasonably priced.
