I bought these in Bronze Oatmeal for my living room ad liked them so much, I bought two more in brushed nickle for my bedroom. I like the height, which is perfect for sofa side tables, and for nightstand on either side of my bed, which is pretty tall. The switch is at the base so it is within reach - no more stretching to turn dial under the shade... I looked for a while, for lamps with a switch on the base, but they all looked like the hotel type lamps. Not these; these blend very well with my decor style. They have a USB port on the side of the base, as well, for easy-reach charging. They have a telescoping light for reading, which I love because I read in bed and it's better than the softer, ambiance light from the main shade. I like to cross-stitch, too, so now I can do that while sitting on my sofa! The small telescoping light is great! You can have both, the main shade and telescoping light on at once; or just one. They each have their own switch. I wished they had a standard outlet on the base, too, but they don't.

Placed this in a guest bedroom on a night table between two beds. Liked that in addition to the main shaded lamp it has two lights on either side that can be adjusted for reading. The one USB port is another great feature for guests to charge their devices.

I'd like to give this pair of lamps 10 stars. I was looking for bedside lamps that were bright enough to read by and easy to turn on and off at night. I was done with reading by a dim light and fumbling to find the twist knob to turn my OLD lamp on/off. What a treat to have two sources of light on the Traverse Modern Table Lamps and both lights are perfect for reading. Great too that the bulbs for the goosenecks were included. How they go in is clever too - I was making it too hard at first, they are magnetic and almost guide themselves and just needed me to twist. The height is perfect and I just love these. They are brilliant and I made a brilliant choice in purchasing them!

At first I didn’t like how bright the included bulb was for the spotlight but when I used it on my mini cross stitch, I realized the reason I had been struggling to see it was more of a lighting issue than a magnification issue! I ended up returning these because they were too tall for my end tables and I could directly see the bulb under the shade. VERY sturdy. Solid switches. They’re great, you should get them.

I looked at a lot of lamps before I bought this for my office and this one fits my form factor and is a beautiful lamp, it fits into the motif very nicely. It has a high quality feel to it. But there are two problems you might consider. First, there is only one bulb, and though I have a 23W (150W equivalent) putting out 2600 lumens, it would have been more effective to have two bulbs switch with one or both lights; there is plenty of room inside the nice, wide shade. Second, the USB type-A port is only 2.0A, not enough for modern devices. I don't need it exactly as it is for my desk and I have other good options, but if you're going to provide a feature, make it worth the effort.

I enjoy reading in bed at night but as I've aged, eyes aren't as strong. This lamp is a perfect combo for a lamp and reading spotlight. Controls at the base so easy access. Only smaller issue is that the gooseneck spotlight is only constructed on one side so have to twist it around the main base for one side of the bed. It would be nice to be able to order left or right configuration. But overall, excellent product and good value for 2 lamps.

I have low vision and need to increase lighting in the house. All of the lighting solutions I've found at low vision stores, or in low vision catalogs, are U-G-L-Y. Further, they barely helped. These lamps absolutely met my needs.I may not see very well anymore, but I still want our home to have a nice look and feel instead of solely functional. I'm not dead, for goodness sake. I still want an attractive, welcoming home. Not one that looks like a blind person lives there -- cold, sterile, uninviting.I liked the lamos so much I bought more.Friends came over and liked both the form and function so much, they also went home and ordered some.My decorating style is not modern, at all, which concerned me. They looked sleek and midern in the picture. My style is more country-ish. But the lamps look great. I think they would work with almost any decorating style except perhaps foo-foo.I bought some for our night tables, too. Hubby says they are perfect for reading and doing crossword puzzles in bed, etc.If you like doing handwork while watching tv, these would be perfect.I not only "would" buy them agan. I DID.

I really liked these lamps but they were to big for the size nightstand I have. I had to return them but if the night stands for the guest room we are refurnishing are big enough, I will order these lamps again.
