LacisRosewood Crochet Hook, Size P16/11.5mm

I got my first rosewood crochet hook at least ten years ago. I have loved my older ones and after rediscovering them while learning short row Tunisian crochet and Tunisian enterlac, I decided that I needed the full set!These hooks are beautiful to look at and feel wonderful in the hand. They are not heavy at all and cut down on that aspect of strain. They are smooth shanked - no thumb depression - which makes them perfect for short row Tunisian. The hooks are tapered and move in and out of the fabric beautifully. I get so many compliments when I am using these hooks in public!The only complaint that I have is the same one that I have with so many wooden hooks of all brands: the size in printed on and tends to wear away with frequent or hard use. I have begun using clear fingernail polish over the size marking to protect it from wear. I wish that the manufacturer would investigate better ways, permanent ways, to mark the size on their hooks.I do recommend "waxing" your wooden hooks. I use simple waxed paper. Take a small piece and just rub the entire hook. If you decide to protect the size identification with clear nail polish, be sure that you do that BEFORE you wax your hook.I love these hooks and have them in sizes from 4mm to 12mm.

Rosewood Crochet Hooks are the best, BUT my size K hook came in a soft package and the decorative end was broken off. I was anxious to start my new project so I chose to use it anyway. However, every time I see the glob of glue at the tip, I say, "It should have been sent in a sturdier package." Love the product, disappointed in shipping.

I haven't actually used it yet, but it surely is beautiful! It's just a tad longer than a regular crochet hook....mainly where the ornate carving work starts is where it is longer. It has a finish on it so it is just as smooth as metal or plastic. And it is a decent thickness (I bought the largest size) even where the ornate carving is.

I love these crochet hooks! They are so elegant and feel good in my hand while I am crocheting. I love this style of hook especially for using bulky yarns. The way the hook is shaped keeps the yarn on the hook. I highly recommend.

If you are purchasing hooks just to crochet with, this is probably not the hook for you, but if you purchase your hooks to enjoy because they are fun, different, unique, or beautiful then this might be the hook for you. It is beautiful.

My friends all joke it looks like a wand from Harry Potter, but I don't care. With the inability to find a P hook in aluminum and only using a plastic one until this one came in. It has been so smooth and definitely great quality. I'm looking for a Q hook and will hopefully find one in this style to use instead of buy a plastic one. Literally it almost snapped on me. BUT THIS ONE!!! I highly recommend. It is so smooth on the yarn and glides like an aluminum would.

Gorgeous hook. All of the Lacis hooks are excellent quality, well-made, feel wonderful in the hand.

The is beautiful and it is great for crochet. The yarn easly slides off the needle.
