This has been super useful keeping our aggressive cat out of the other cat’s food bowl. It was easy to install and was delivered quickly.

This works perfectly. My (now overweight) cat was sneaking in the side of his sister's feeder to eat with her. This keeps him from accessing it.

I’m salty I had to buy this separate but it gets 5 stars bc it works. It’s simple, straightforward installation, high quality. It should come with the feeder in the first place in my opinion for what you pay for it, and this. Selling it separate feels like a cash grab but whatever, it’s what I needed, it works as it’s supposed to, and that is enough.

I have two cats, one who is a grazer and the other eats everything in sight. It is hard to "police" feeding time. If I walked away, he would instantly start eating out of his sisters bowl. This feeder was the perfect solution and works well. Now the older cat can eat anytime she wants. I had to also buy the back piece to keep the other cat from eating from the other side. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I feel at the price point this feeder is, the back should come with it. Thats very disappointing. You would be better to package them together and raise the price then have people buy 2 items. Just not good marketing in my opinion.

I shelled out so much money for this microchip feeder, only for my very stubborn cat to keep sticking his head through the back and continue to eat the other cat's food. This rear cover was absolutely necessary to prevent this. And it works well for that! My stubborn cat can't stick his head in the back while the other cat is eating. This system isn't foolproof, however. He still may try to stick his head in to squeeze in next to her while she's eating (because it's wide and I assume designed for fat cats) and if she leaves, he still might be able to grab a quick bite before it closes. But with this back cover, it does a much better job preventing him from eating most of her food.

I love that it works. It attaches well to the feeder and does what it’s intended and that’s keep the sneaky kitty out of the back. I hate that it’s needed and that it’s almost $40. Why in the world are the feeders not just made enclosed? What is the point in keeping the back open? It’s maddening but the feeders themselves are total game changers so you get all pissed off and continue to checkout.This gets 5 stars because it’s worth 5 stars. If I were rating the feeder itself it would get less because it shouldn’t be made to require this piece in the first place.Edit to add: Will not stop your fatty from sneaking next to your cat and eating with them… had to spend even MORE money on Etsy to get 3D printed cat head shaped attachments for the front of the feeders to allow only one cat at a time. Works like a charm. A million dollars later and this feeder is awesome.

This will not keep other cats out. I bought this because my roommates cat kept eating my cats food, but while he can't get it open, he figured out if he shoves next to my cat while she is there eating, the lid will stay open.I even bought the back piece attachment to keep him from going behind, i tried building 'walls' around it to make it harder for him to get in. I contacted customer support SEVERAL times and they basically shrugged and said there was nothing they could do about it, as it was set to the fastest response time. It was a waste of money, and it costed less than it's listed at currently, I paid $43 for it. I wouldnt spend $10 on this junk.Don't waste your money, get a different brand.

The feeder works good to keep cats food separated. The buttons in the back can be confusing so keep the manual handy in case you forget how to reset it. The flap itself is no good. The area where it fold has a silicon seal that can not be removed and grows MOLD from moisture over time that can not be cleaned out. This is not safe for pets health. I know I wouldn’t want to eat my food with mold so close to my food and when it’s closed it is literally setting right on top of the food. Sure petcare does not offer replacement doors either so I guess the machine is only as good as the plastic flap the grows mold! There are some new feeders out there that do the same thing now, so it might be time for me to try a new one since I have to throw this one away.
