This stuff really works. It's basically medicine for your head. The smell is quite 'industrial', it smells like your grandads shed. But even after a few days there is a noticeable difference, no more itching and flaking at all after a week.

Great, such a lovely clean smell, you don't need to use much as it lathers up well, I wash my hair daily but with all the heat recently started getting spots on my scalp, so it gave my scalp a really good cleanse and spots have gone. Fully recomend.

HATE the smell. But love the fact it soothes my scalp and reduces the flakes between washes significantly. It definitely has made a difference but I’d recommend using this shampoo on your scalp and then a nicer one on the ends of your hair, I go for this and a head and shoulders Apple combo.

From long time I have problems with dandruff. The shampoo works very well. It removes oily dandruff and the scalp is nice and clean. It cleanses the hair well and does not tangle it. They are easily disappointed. This shampoo is my discovery of the year! I highly recommend it to anyone who has dandruff and nothing works for it. Polytar will definitely be the best and effective! I was trying many different anty dandruff shampoo but any of them wasn't enough good. Accidentally I found polytar and bingo! Small bottle but Efficient because you don't wash your hair with it every day. My hair is thin so it lasted me a long time! The £10.oo was not a big expense in relation to the efficiency. You put a small amount of shampoo on your hand. Now I'm trying to buy it but it's out of stock everywhere! I was found on eBay but prices are ridiculously high! £18-20 per bottle. Jesus help me pls🙄. This is great at keeping my psoriasis behind my ears and around the nape of my neck under control. I only need a little bit and usually use this after using a normal shampoo. It smells like coal tar though, so don't be expecting a nice smell. I've bought multiple times, I just wish it was a bit cheaper.

Not very good as a bit weak

This product is specifically designed with a medicated formula to help relieve scalp symptoms! I have been using it for a few days and immediately noticed that the itching has eased. I do tend to shower everyday and just a little amount “Teaspoon” lathers well, and the smell is not designed to be Roses or spring meadow! It is a medicated product that smells like a medicated product, and is far from being unpleasant! I actually quite like it. I write this review with my personal views, and will not suit everyone. Personally I would definitely recommend giving it a go. I had to come back to edit this review! Wow what can I say, I have been using this for about a month, and I can honestly say that I have zero flaky or itchy scalp symptoms whatsoever. This has worked amazingly well for me! I have just purchased another bottle, and will continue using this for the foreseeable future. All I can add is give it a go, you won’t be disappointed.

This product is very good for an itchy, bumpy scalp which has suddenly developed. Some customers have complained it is strong smelling but I found it to have a very mild smell and not unpleasant. It lathers well and an added bonus is the condition it left my hair in. So soft and shiny and as instructed, did not use any conditioner. I am not sure how long I will need to use this to cure my scalp problem but to tell the truth, if it continues to leave my hair feeling so good, I might just continue to use it.
