Instant hydration smooth skin for baby eczema
This is a great cream for my 5 month old baby with eczema, we have been using it for 2 weeks. The first time I tested it, I actually ran outside to show my husband the baby’s arm as it was instantly silky smooth. It doesn’t stop his itching though unfortunately. It doesn’t sting like other creams, and even better it doesn’t contain paraffins like most creams from GP, therefore allowing the skin to breathe.I am very sensitive to smells in products, and this one is a light and fresh, pleasant oat scent.I knocked off one star because if you’re going to use as a 2 in 1 soap and moisturiser, you’ll get through quite a lot of it. About a quarter of the bottle below the label is empty packaging, so it looks bigger than it really is. I have started using other natural eczema remedies in the bath instead.

The only cream that works for me
I have very sensitive and dry skin. Most paraffin based creams make my skin even worse and after trying Aproderm all areas of redness on my arms and legs were gone within a week. I now apply this twice a day to prevent my skin from flaring up again.

So far … AMAZING
So I never leave reviews because I never have enough time in the day and to be honest when I do I have better things to do.BUT, I just had to write one for this. This cream was recommended to me by a friend who has a baby with sever eczema. My 9 month old has also been suffering over the last 3-4month with it progressively worsening and appearing in more places. We have tried alsorts from aveeno baby, aveeno for severe dry skin, e45, cetraben to prescribed ointments and steroids from the doctor. The only thing that helped initially was the steroid but this soon wore off and it’s only for short term use.I bought this only 2 days ago. I bought the set so the lotion and the ointment. We used it for the first time last night and I can honestly say so far to effects are visibly noticeable. This is what we did:We used the lotion in the bath as a wash (we stopped using soap a while back). Once bathed and dried I then used the lotion again and massaged all over his body.We then used the ointment which is more like a balm/wax. It’s very similar to coconut oil in its natural form. Two spatulas are provided and can be washed in the sink/dishwasher as normal. We used this in the specific areas that are suffering with the eczema breakout. It is very greasy so unless having a bad flare up or in an area which can be covered I personally would only use this for night time.Come morning and there is no more redness. The rough, sand paper like areas feel very smooth and moisturised which we haven’t been able to achieve no matter what we have used.I then used the lotion only for the morning and repeated our nighttime routine again. A couple of the smaller patches are hardly noticeable and this is only 24 hours usage!I really wish I took before photos now. But if like me you are struggling this is definitely worth a try.I read some reviews that the smell is bad, to be honest I don’t find that at all. Once on the skin I can’t smell anything.£20 for the set is definitely worth it as the tubes are large. Specifically the ointment as a small amount goes such a long way!! I can see this lasting a long time and only the lotion needing to be replaced next time. But again that’s a large tube too so I can see that lasting a whole also.

Transfers to clothes when dried. Very expensive for very little moisture!
Ordered yesterday and arrived today. I don't have problem skin and only purchased in response to a GMTV advert as a good moisturiser without petrolium and protects against frequent handwashing. I ordered immediately after the add and paid £10.00 and noticed today its increased by £5.00! 🙄Firstly the cream has a distinct oaty smell which is neither here nor there for me! Just don't expect your partner if you have one to want to kiss your hand.Secondly you are not left with the feeling your skin has fully absorbed the cream. Once rubbed in, It sort of sits ontop of the skin leaving a thin slippery film or residue on the skins surface. Perhaps this might act as a barrier but I didn't like the feel.Thirdly, 30 minutes after applying, while listening to music I was patting my leg with the back of my hands and noticed what I thought was dust on my leggings (see image). Couldn't quite figure it out! I don't have flaking/dry skin or dsndruff so It took me a while to identify that the film or residue from the cream transfers as dust-like specs onto clothes! Not ideal! This is a very expensive cream for very little moisture. It's knocked up a large score of positive reviews so unless they're fake then I guess it's a matter of personal preference and I prefer something a little greaser without the 'slippery film'. Well, in fairness it is a cream not an ointment I guess! I'm sure I'll find a use for it! Perhaps on my feet at bedtime!!! The creams that have worked for me are oilatum junior and some brands (not all) of aqueous cream, both of which I've used as stand alone creams or added a small amount of Fifty:50 for added richness (though unfortunately contains white soft paraffin). It all depends on what you want of a cream, what your skin can tolerate and the price you're prepared to pay🤷🏻♀️
