As an aspiring artist whose favorite medium is pen, I was perpetually on the hunt for that one mystical ballpoint beauty.Let me tell you, ladies and gentlemen.I do believe my search is over!Yeah you'll probably never catch me inking up the Sistine chapel. I'm no Michelangelo but I am hoping the attached images will help demonstrate the wide range of pressure and precision that these little dudes can achieve!For artists who love ink but don't want to break the bank on some expensive, one time, single tone, bulky, gloopy, pretty to look at but the moment you turn your back she's lookin at other sketchbooks, weak stroke, takes you to court over the dog kind of implement...These are the pens for you!!!But maybe you don't so much care for arting? Perhaps you haven't arted in a long time?Fear not!!!They have doctors for that.In addition these pens are also great for everyday writing!They write like smooth jazz and they last a looong time!!!(Disclaimer) I'm not really a huge fan of jazz so I'm not entirely sure how smooth that actually is, but you get the point.And I'd have loved to share a sample of text for you all, but I fear the last time my penmanship was under scrutiny it was mistaken for a third grade attempt at Chinese calligraphy.I'll spare you the pain and instead ask that you take my word.In summary.Pros:Excellent gripGreat valueAstounding flow controlComes with a convenience clip! I am very particular how my pens write therefore I am always on the hunt for the best one that does not smudge nor look too thick on paper. Well, I have found the pen that checks all the boxes!Write quality:It's smooth, very fine, no smudges, comfortable to hold

These were a good value. The pens are reliable. They work well each time. They do not seam to break easily. They write smoothly. The ink seems to dry quickly.

Pens are great. I like the finer point to write with and the cushioned grip of these Bic Soft Feel pens. Comfortable enough to write with for extended periods. Comes in flimsy box if 12. That's the only issue is packaging. Amazon ships in paper bag and drivers throw so much on top of each package, boxes were smashed. So no stacking boxes in supply room. Had to find other bin to place pens in so people can find. Other than poor handling of Amazon, the Bic Soft Feel pens are pretty great. Might place next order with the mart since they still value customers enough to ship in boxes.

I picked these up because I've been seeing them a lot with the watercolor artists I like and, believe it or not, these pens are water proof!! So they're great for lining watercolor pieces to get a softer look then the harsh black of traditional inking pens, and I've even done quite a few illustrations just in ballpoint, because the pen is surprisingly easy to control. You can press hard or draw very lightly and get a nice consistent coverage over even very large areas; it's like sketching with pencil, but its pen!! HIGHLY recommend! They're cheap, they work GREAT, and you can do a lot of good work with them. The only thing I do feel the need to mention is that, because of the kind of pen it is, you will get those moments where you get a blob of too much ink. To avoid this, I've gotten into the habit of wiping it off on a small scrap of tissue or even just the back of my thumb after every five or six strokes, and as long as I don't go too long without dabbing off, I don't get those blobs.Also these are the type of pens whose ink looks reddish/brown/oil slicky if you tilt it the right way in the light.

It seems like I am always lending a pen to someone, and this is a cost-effective way to lend the pen but not be upset if I don't get it back. They seem to work fine and are not terribly expensive.
