You need to build the shades up
Simple sturdy base, how I didn’t expect to have to build the lamp shades myself and once up the looked cheap and you can see the Velcro that holds the fabric to the frame. So I bought separate shades.

Can't use it.
I bought this lamp to replace one that broke. I already have the shade. Unfortunately, the fitting on the lamp is too big for the shade. I will now need to buy another shade.

It's a lamp base
I needed a new base for my Next lamp, as my cat had knocked the original lamp off the table and it had snapped. This one looks great with the shade and I'm more than happy with it.
