It is rather strange that the grow pads are smaller than the square trays, so some seeds will fall next to the pads. Not sure why the pads could not be square as well. The basil seeds are very slow in germinating and lots of the sunflower seeds do not germinate at all. Pre-soaking the sunflower seeds may help, also the bag states that they do better in soil, so why are they included? We've eaten lots of micro-greens the past month, so overall it is a good set-up.

Really fun on salads and meats

This was so easy and a fun way to garden in the winter. Be prepared to put in the time and have the space to grow your microgreens as they require attention daily.

First batch, using each of the seeds in the flat only half sprouted and everyone died just before they reached the growth the pamphlet recommended to expose to light. On second round now, and it's not looking good. Sigh. But it could be me, so I don't want to be too harsh.

Easy to use. Didn’t time it with my lettuce crop and didn’t get full benefits. Second crop on schedule with lettuce.
