Red StarActive Dry Yeast, 2 Pound Pouch

I bought this because I have to make bread for husband who has alpha-gal syndrome. It is a very restrictive diet and I have to make foods from scratch. This yeast is amazing! My bread has turned out perfectly every time. I store the yeast in an airtight container in my fridge. It has been very reactive and rises well. Also it's so much easier and cheaper than buying those individual packages.This product gets an A+++ from me!

Let me tell you—it absolutely lives up to the hype!Using the same reliable recipe, tools, and conditions I always use (including identical water temperature and sugar), I noticed a significant improvement at every step. The froth and activity level were much higher with Red Star, and the smell! Oh, the smell--it was so much more bread-y and enticing, enhancing the whole experience.I prepared enough dough for eight crusts (with half to freeze), and the dough rounds rose beautifully under tea towels. This yeast is a game changer for home baking. The quality and performance truly stand out, and everything worked out perfectly.If I had to make a complaint, it would be that the bag isn’t resealable. While I wrapped it tightly with an elastic band and stored it in a freezer bag, a built-in closure would have been more convenient.Highly recommend if you’re looking for a reliable, high-performing yeast for bread, pizza, or any baking project!

Works very well, very big and very good amount, not resealable but i jsut put it in a different container, smells rather pungent but goes away after cooking, tastes like regular yeast, easy to use

I got this for making pizza dough and breads. I found this to be a good choice.. delivery was fast and using the yeast was simple. Once I’ve opened the bag, I always store in an air tight container in the fridge.There’s no funky smells from the yeast and it functions just as it’s supposed.

Red Star active dry yeast is my brand of choice. I have used it for years for all types of breads and doughs, and it never disappoints.This 2 lb package will last several months for me, and once I open it I will keep it in the refrigerator. I always use 2 tsp for every load of bread I make, and it is perfect every time.Highly recommend!
