Not sure about the other reviews. Mine showed up saying "GEAR". Also shown is how the bracket secures to the handlebar. The indicator itself is a tight fit, but there is plenty of room for the screw to not touch the cable. Very glad I bought this and hope that this review helps someone.

Works well but be careful this is not a direct fit for the cheaper gear indicator. It will kinda fit but it is not made for it. This bracket is full metal.

Arrived on time. Was exactly as described, fit gear indicator. No problem with installation or usage.

I ordered this so that I could see what gear I was in on a motorcycle, the instructions may well have been missing for all the help they were! Very little info ( cannot get part to work after spending hours puting on the bike!

It's definitely easy to install. BUT. It's not the right size for the gear indicator. I had to squeeze the gear indicator in there. I'm 100% positive that I cannot remove it from the housing or else it would fall apart. At this point the housing is the only thing keeping the gear indicator together. If you get this you will have to force the gear indicator in. Or you can use a dremel and shave off some of that extra metal. I would of taken pictures but I was frustrated about just having to squeeze these thing together. They are forever fused and I hope I don't have to buy another one for some time. If I do, at least I know what I'll be getting myself into and how to take care of it. Good luck.

Be careful tightening the bolts in place. One of them sits right over the wire of the indicator. Otherwise solid. Easy to install, does what it should.

I really like the solid, black aluminum appearance. It looks great.
