Simple and works
This is the simplest stem mount I've seen. It uses an expansion sleeve to hold it in the stem and goes on solid when sized correctly. I like this over others since I can still use my triple clamp front bike stand with it installed. Initially I wasn't in love with how high the phone sits, but I'm used to it now and have it positioned so it's just below my gauge cluster.Had this about a year now, no issues. Had to remove it today to adjust my head bearings. It was a little bit of a pain to reinstall due to the hard rubber compound but, I managed to get it tightened up.Added a picture of it trimmed down to fit my 2014 Yamaha R1 stem.

It was well worth the purchase and I feel better know the phone is mounted on the bike while ...
My son wanted this so he could mount his phone on his new motorcycle. Because of the style of his motorcycle he had a little difficultly mounting this. However, he had someone else mount it that had the same product, and it was done in about 10 minutes. This required the purchase of two other products to work. It was well worth the purchase and I feel better know the phone is mounted on the bike while he is riding. The phone fit on this with the phone case so he doesn't have to take the phone in and out of the protective case each time he rides. This is a good product and I would recommend it. Great concept, but falls way short. Does not work well with smaller stem sizes.
The kit is supposed to work with 12-33mm holes. This mount may work well on steering stems with larger diameter holes, but it does not work well at all on my Hayabusa with a 12 mm stem hole. I followed the instructions exactly and this mount will not tighten down. There's not enough rubber to grip the inside of the stem and the screw wants to spin. Another problem seems to be that the smallest plastic nut holder can't get enough bite on the rubber.I was to the point were I was ready to throw this whole kit in the trash. After taking a break for while I tried again and I was finally able to get the rubber to grip the stem and it tightened down. It's still not staying in place very well and it doesn't take a lot to make it spin, but it's at least fastened well enough that it cannot be pulled out of the stem.I wish I had just purchased the brake/clutch reservoir mount model RAM-B-309-1U (Ram Mount Motorcycle Brake/Clutch Reservoir Base with 1-Inch Ball). That mount is cheaper and has much higher reviews. More than likely I'll end up replacing this mount with that one.

How to install RAM-B-342U for 20mm stem hole
For those reviewers saying that this product didn't fit their bike they likely have a stem hole between 20mm-28mm. Note that out of the box the included rubber stopper WILL NOT FIT without modification. The tapered end stops at ~19mm and the large end is 28mm. You will note however that on the large end of the rubber stopper there is a marked inner ring which happens to be exactly 20mm in diameter. In order to achieve a perfect fit on my motorcycle I needed to take off the excess rubber from the large part of the stopper so that it would be the diameter of this inner line. In order to trim it I used my belt sander which took about 5 minutes to shave off the excess rubber. If you don't have a belt sander you can likely whittle the rubber away with a knife a little at a time, checking the fit often to make sure you don't take off too much. I left the final piece of rubber in a slightly tapered cork shape so that it would be more snug at the top. Once you have it trimmed enough so that it will slide into your fork about 1/2" snugly by hand, measure 1" from the end of the plug and cut off the excess rubber. Any bigger and the bolt won't catch when assembled. Next, assemble as per the included instructions. After assembly, I was able to force the entire unit by hand about 3/4" into the stem, after which I used a rubber mallet to gently hammer the entire assembly to be flush with the fork. Next, with the mount in place, simply tighten the bolt. I have no doubt this unit will now be harder to remove than it was to install and I have complete confidence in the fit.Giving this 4 stars since they should have made the installation and fit instructions more clear, but overall I think this is a very solid product. My motorcycle: 1998 Honda VFR800

Love this mounting option
There are some videos on the internet showing how to install this piece of the kit if any one is wondering how this works. Very easy install. Workes just like it's should.I don't like how high this makes what ever your mounting afer you get the arm in the middle and the ball for the other side it's at least 4 inches or more. On my GSXR I wanted my gps as low profile as possible so I ordered this and the bracket to match my gps and then cut off the ball and fabricated a plate that connects the two pieces and I couldnt be happier. my gps sits less than an inch off the stem.
