It takes time to work, but gives a result better than just pressure washing...
I live in an area where we have a lot of Black mold, and I have been using the Spear and Jackson Black spot remover for a few years now.Though many people recommend pressure washing as it is a quick fix, I find that the surface of the paving can be damaged with the jets and actually promotes more aggressive regrowth of Black Spot.This product works slowly over a few weeks, and after the black spot is gone, it gives a result that is better than pressure washing alone, and also gives a good few years of protection before re-application is required.

Works Well
My flags were very dark with black spots. Pressure washing didn't shift it. I gave them a good clean with a brush to remove debris and visible algae (used a wire brush in the joints), spread 2 bottles of this product from a watering can taking care to apply at the correct coverage, left it for 2-3 hours and finished by cleaning everything down with the pressure washer. Flags came up a lovely buff colour and it removed most of the black spots. Those that remain are much less noticeable. I was concerned that the run-off might damage the grass or plants but it didn't. Very pleased - it works

Patio cleaner
Followed the insure it remained wet and the results after approximately 3 hours and power wash were truly incredible 90% of the dirt and black spot had gone .Will be reordering to do the rest of the paving

Great value for a product that really works. Second time I’ve ordered this and really does remove the spots that are hard to remove with a pressure washer.

Don't buy don't work ' we have done it twice now and still black marks ' smells just like bleachWaste of money

Needs more than one application
The coverage was less than indicated and the product did not clean that well. Will require a least one more application or more to restore Indian stone flags.

Did a Brilliant Job!
Having pressure washed my patio I was disappointed with the result. Although it was clean the pavers were covered in black 'spots' making them look dirty. I assumed it was Blackspot and looked for a suitable solution. All seemed quite expensive (compared to Patio Magic - which doesnt kill blackspot) and in the end I opted for Spear and Jackson's product as the company has a good name. The result was brilliant! I could see it working within 10 minutes and by the time I hosed it off (following the directions) the blackspots had all but disappeared. I am so pleased that I have written a review although I very rarely do - I have even included some photos to show the difference. I would be happy for S&J to use my photos if they want - for a small fee of course! Excellent product in my opinion.
