My brother recommended this particular guillotine slicer for the special salumis that he uses. When he gifted me several chubs of these delicious Italian cured sausages, I had to get one for myself. It works beautifully, slicing the meats wafer thin. You'll want to practice your slicing technique to get that just right thickness. Be very careful, because the blade is extremely sharp. The slicer does feature a locking device for when not in use.

My first purchase was 3 years ago. Holding strong. it makes cutting smoked sausages & peperoni a breeze! The knife part is still as sharp and good as the day we bought it. GIFTING: we got 2 additional ones to give as gifts. Everyone loves theirs too. it's easy to use, cleans easily. Cutter stays sharp with no issues after 3 years!

Delivers good cuts but it is a little awkward to use. Wish it would cut larger salami.

This apparatus is my dream gadget. I am particular about my salami and only eat the good stuff I bring from Europe....where everybody has a slicer. I like think perfect cuts to eat on sandwiches or to put on cheese plates. This one works PERFECTLY. no issues, no concerns. The only thing I'd change if I had to find something is that it needs English instructions. I figured out how to use it no problem, but it was only by accident that I realized the blade mechanism came out easily to clean. I thought I'd broken it and then discovered it was made to do that so it could be cleaned. YEAH I'd just been wiping it down real good...don't tell anybody I'm a teacher and it took me a month to figure out how to clean it LOL.

I recommend seasoning this slicer with some butcher block oil from time to time as you do need to clean it under warm water with dish soap.I cut Salami and some harder cheeses on it and love the simplicity and the design.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my dad and he loved it! The blade is extremely sharp and gets the job done. The only thing I would change is to somehow make it easier to tell how far to put in the sausage stick in order to ensure that you get the same size cut each time...right now, we kind of have to guess. Other than that, it's a great product!

The blade and idea is Amazing 5/5 stars BUT… Listen this is entirely made of wood and by that means when you put water to clean the wood becomes more porous and it doesn’t fit in that tight spot to slide. Idk how no one even mentioned this do you guys never Wash this???
