Really nice stools
I read most of the reviews before purchasing and i was torn. I needed something inexpensive, but wasn't wanting disposable! I decided to try them and i'm glad i did. I did assemble them with glue since so many of the complaints were about them getting loose. They are not getting much use from really heavy people as no one sitting on them is over 175lbs, but my kids are super active, and they have withstood months of being jumped around on and knocked over, etc.The top is really cushioned and the seat is wide enough to sit on comfortably. We have them interspersed at our island with backed stools and people always choose these. I haven't had to tighten them yet, so the glue may be the difference between a good and bad experience? Who knows.I thought they were easy to assemble, but i assemble items often and do a lot of diy stuff. Much like anything from ikea, if you've ever tried something of theirs. I think the first one took the longest, but no more than about 30 mins and the rest were cake.I would definitely get them again, especially at this price. I have seen similar quality for far more money. They look nice when assembled and are sturdy enough for us. When we finish our bar in the basement, i will more than likely purchase more of the same. Worth the cost, for sure.

These are less than $40 each people...
It’s not going to last you a lifetime. It’s not going to survive multiple moves and a ton use for multiple years, but I’m gonna be real with you: I paid $35 each, and they are absolutely freaking amazing for that price. We eat dinner on them every night. We sit on them to work at the kitchen counter. We’ve even done adult things on these chairs, and they don’t wobble. They haven’t cracked or broken. And again, THEY WERE LESS THAN $40!If you want an heirloom chair, you won’t get it for this price. If you want a chair that can hold a large person on it who will shift back and forth and back and forth trying to get their butt snuggly perfect...this will loosen up.It’s a cheap chair and a kickass one at that. You get what you pay for, folks. This stool is great.

Basic Indeed
Assembly was easy but a little confusing. No 90-degree angles so pay attention. It didn't help that one of the "Down" labels was on the "Up" side. Once that section was assembled, it was obvious. Didn't hurt anything. Just took longer to disassemble and then assemble again. One of the pre-drilled holes for the screws was not centered but, again, didn't affect the outcome. This comes with its own L-shaped allen wrench (hex key) but I used six-sided drill bit with my power drill. These screws are long. To screw these in manually will wear out your wrist!Had to use a 12-inch long extension to get the right angle on some of the screws under the seat. If you don't have one, the allen wrench will come in handy.Biggest tip! Don't tighten any screws until all the parts are in place! At the end, it looks as it should and is stable. There is a one eighth-inch gap between one leg and cross bar. Otherwise, looks great!Considering this was the cheapest 24-inch stool I could find I'm very happy!

Perfect height for my standing desk (REVIEW UPDATED)
6-MONTH UPDATE (1-STAR): Now that I've used this stool every day for just over six months, I'm sad to say I can't recommend this product. After daily tightening of the screws to keep the stool stable, I resorted to drilling holes and using long bolts with lock nuts. This only helped for a few days before it started wobbling again, albeit less than before. Last night a rung broke completely. Save yourself some aggravation and bypass this crappy stool (ha!).3-MONTH UPDATE (3 STARS): This stool is the perfect size for my needs, but unfortunately the screws holding it together constantly back out. As I use it every single day, I have to tighten them just about every other day. On a whim, I tried gluing the pieces together before tightening the screws, but as expected, it didn't work. My next step will be to drill holes and thru-bolt them with lock nuts. Also, one of the button tops popped off recently. So not the best quality.ORIGINAL REVIEW (5 STARS):This is the perfect height to allow me to rest when I'm working at my standing desk. Color and finish are nicer than I expected, and the unstained wood grain highly resembles farmed mahogany (very light in color, but the stain is very dark). Easy to put together -- everything you need is included. The padding is even more comfy than anticipated (though I wouldn't want to sit on it all day long).

impossible to assemble
Its a good thing these aren't very expensive - you get what you pay for. Although they look nice and are comfortable, putting them together was a nightmare. The actual assembly is not too difficult, but the bolts that come with the stool are low quality and were all stripped by the time they were half way in. I had 4 stools to assemble, and 2 of them are super rickety because the little tool and the bolts would lose their shape halfway through the project. I suppose if you got your own screws or bolts (nothing I had was thick enough) and used a power drill to get them in, maybe it would work out better for you.But if you're just going to assemble this with provided tools, there's a good chance you'll be cursing for hours and your finished product will be wobbly.
