The one with chrome arches is great. Much sturdier and better looking than the other styles. Texture feels great.
I hunted a lot on amazon and tried one of these similar to the option on the left in this listing. The one with the circles on the surface. It sucked. Super wobbly. Only advantage is that it could get pretty high but thats not needed much. The one on the right with the chrome arches is so much better. Rock solid. Aesthetically much less imposing. Just compliments the aeron chair. Very modest and very sturdy. Also if you don't like the tettering vibe, this is for you.Only changes - would love to see a bumby bamboo surface, and a version that gets 2 inches taller so my wife can use it, but uses the same design. For now I'm going to add rubber feed risers to this. That would be a nice add on too.*Also, though I think this is the best footrest after much searching, I also have found that a small penny skateboard like the one by stereo skateboard company. it is a little taller so its the perfect hieght, it flexes forward and back, and it moves side to side which is sort of nice.

Designed to be photographed, not to be used
It's designed to photograph well, not to support the weight of an adult's legs and feet. This is made obvious when I first began to fidget a bit in the first hour of my time using it, and in that time frame, had it cracking itself with small bits of the frame surrounding the arch tubes very loudly. Every other day going forward, I've heard and could feel at least one major fracture occuring from use. I'm hardly applying any force to it when I'm sitting at it - the footboard is just embarrassingly thin walled and under reinforced with waffle grid patterning to where I now have the start of a major down-the-centerline fracture beginning. The frame tubes are also just that, thin tubes, that don't fit to the rubber corner feet members with any solid hardware or shrinkfitting. I used a 2 part epoxy a few days ago after having gotten nearly gouged in the calf by one of the arches coming up and out of the feet the third time in the same day. This genuinely feels like it should be being sold at a 5-Below type of storefront, in that price bracket. Ive been as kind to it as humanly possible: I used a small smear of ball bearing lubricant (the thick, gel/lotion esque type), epoxying the flimsy frame tubes to their mating corners/feet, and will probably start next by redesigning and 3d printing my own footboard - although at that point, I'll probably be replacing every component of the assembly, if that gives you any clear indication of my ownership evaluation and satisfaction in my purchase.

Perfect
It was not the easiest to put together, you have to get the angle just right. I love that the angle changes with the press of your feet. I have been using it for over a year, and it is holding up nicely.

Cheap product, but serves purpose
I purchased this product almost a year ago and have used it almost every day since. This product is very low quality, made entirely from plastic aside from the two metal rods that allow the footrest to slide. Every time I use it, it feels like it may snap underneath my feet when any amount of pressure is added to the plastic. The footrest otherwise does its job. However, it is difficult to move the footrest up/down as needed. There is lots of resistance, contributing to the fear of breakage. The product was also quite hard to put together - it was difficult to fit the rounded rods into the plastic footrest part without snapping the plastic. It falls apart easily. I move the footrest frequently under my desk and the bottom rods fall off of the rounded rods constantly. It is very annoying but not much you can do.Overall - I’d only recommend buying this if you want to see if you’d use a footrest frequently before purchasing a more expensive one. That was my original intention and I will likely upgrade to a better quality footrest when this inevitably snaps in half.

Not bad for the price, but it only really works well on carpeting.
Not a bad foot rest for the price, however it leaves some to be desired. The construction is questionable. Those feet attaching the metal tubes together are actually rubber, and it sort of all goes together pressure fitted. I suspect this will wear down with time. On the plus side, this rest is relatively quiet. One of the complaints of plastic rests is that they are loud. The rubber and metal help keep the noise down, and the free flowing design is actually very nice. Although the feet grip nicely, they only really work well on carpeting. On a tile floor, they do slip frequently. One final thought, I find it a tad to narrow. I wear a size 11 shoe, and it almost seems to small for my feet.

A Must Have!
Love that this can tilt unlike stationary foot rests. This makes it the best I've used. Great feature. Easy to put together and light weight. Relieves back fatigue just by putting your feet on this. Amazing that it makes so much difference.

NO BUENO
Updated review 10.15.19: no good. As you can see from the picture it broke. I didn’t think it was possible. Alas, I was proven wrong. It’s really flimsy. I wasn’t even applying that much pressure on it with my feet, that’s how flimsy this is. It should be rubber or some other material.Took two minutes to assemble. Not sure how other reviewers were having issues with it. I’m overall happy with this product. It does what it’s supposed to and has increased my comfort when sitting at my desk during work hours. The only comment I can add is that the actual footrest is plastic, so I can see how if you apply a lot of pressure (which I can’t image why you would) it could potentially break. The material should rather be rubber-like, in order for it to be sturdier and long lasting. Just an observation but I’m totally happy with it!

Wife loves it
My wife wanted a footrest similar to one she had in the office. Now that she works at home she hasn't had one and is particular about the style. While I preferred something else, this fit exactly what she wanted. It was easy to assemble and feels sturdy.
