not bad not great
Not bad, seems to be well made, arrived on time. ... got it hooked up on my mobile rig, tuned in with my auto tuner as best as it could (z100 auto tuner). .. not as great as my dipole but for portable operation, I'm pleased after reading some negative reviews I said screw it, bit the bullet and bought it. .. it will not fully tune but was able to make contact on 80 meters at the lower end with my father 400+ miles away, clear skies on both ends and at around 9:30pm. He came in clear on his base and I was fuzzy but readable (I'm using a 817ND with Z100 auto tuner and a selectable 50w amp for portable operation in the truck) It's okay but for the cash I'm not sure if I would but it again or would recommend it, I don't really regret it but at least I have something that isn't as much of a pain to string out as my dipole. Pros and cons I guess. .. how this helps

Not as advertised---not an 80M whip
Ordered this 80 meter whip. What I received was a a stinger for 80M and a base labeled 80M but the base was for a 6M antenna. It was mis-labeled. After trying to tune it up for a couple of days, I looked at it closely and there were 2 turns at the top of the base. Tried it out on 6M and it tuned great. Only thing is, I need an 80M whip so the shipment to me is useless. Manufacturer needs better quality control.Advertised as for 80M but it's not. Look at it carefully before you open it up. Been a ham for 54 yard and first time I've been misled by a mis-label.

This was not what I expected but I sold it ...
This was not what I expected but I sold it to a ham radio friend that could use it. I thought I was getting a hamstick and this is a 80 meter resonator for a hustler.
