What are the dimensions of this microphone outside of the shipping box? i can't find it in the description.

This device is 9 inches long. It is 2 1/2 inches wide at the speaker end. It works well but best to speak into it in a normal speaking tone when using. Very convenient to take to meetings, etc. I like it.

We have karaoke night in our senior home and just want a microphone to amplify their voices. we use you tube on our tv. will this work?

It will work fine if the singers hold the mike end close to their faces and the speaker end straight out toward the audience. If they are not able to do that, it will not amplify very much. Just tell everyone to pretend they are rock stars on stage! Rock on, Seniors!

Where are the two modes ,and how do i turn it on speech mode??

Does it come with batteries?

It comes with a charging cord to plug it in to a usb plug for charging. The battery is built in and does not appear to be replaceable. It has Bluetooth so you can use it for a speaker for your iPhone or IPad too.

Excellent and Fun

This is a powerful handheld amplifier - a megaphone - with several features. I was impressed by its very loud output - much more than I expected - and the lack of feedback and howling. It includes an echo mode that makes the speaker sound like they are in auditorium. I didn't explore much more but I will say that it is very comfortable to use, very powerful, and a bargain for the price. 5 stars for Price, Bluetooth, Looks, Portable, and Fun!But - I returned it however because it would not work for my needed purpose. I needed an amplifier for a disabled person with very serious speech loss. I needed an device he could whisper into and be amplified enough to be understood. So I was surprised to find this amplifier mutes the microphone unless the user is speaking or singing in a normal voice - and then it is perfect! Good feature really, there is no howling of feedback. Who would have known? So I have nothing bad to say about the amplifer because the quality is excellent for its intended use. I just needed something else.I will buy one if I ever start singing Karaoke.

Good Product

For the price point, this item is fine. It's light, very easy to use and the voice amplification is fine but you will have to place your mouth closer to the mic when using. I can see multiple indoor/outdoor uses. I returned as I was sent a used / open box item.
