Generic La Fermiere Vanilla Bean Yogurt (Pack of 6)

I dont usually review the shipper when i review a product - the product in this case is wonderful. But the shipper they use is not wonderful. My keep cool product arrived luke warm.La Fermiere is by far, hands down, the best yogurt out there. I don't like yogurt but I love this creamy tasty food served up in a lovely ceramic container that... surely has some use though I Have yetto figure out what that is. I have saved about 50 pink and blue and green jars! i like vanilla best, passion fruit is great with granola - add some mango and pomegranate you got yourself a wonderful summery dish. Once bitten, people love this product.it's kind of expensive and hard to find so I came here to amazon to buy it in bulk.ordering a product that must remain refrigerated is risky business. I have ordered this yogurt for the past year or so and though it often arrived ... cool, not cold, at least I knew it had not become warm. Todays ordercame .. with all the cooling things melted and squishy, the product itself... while not warm, certainly not even cool. I opened a container and stuck my finger in to taste. I really dont want this stuff to havegone bad... But.. shoot....In New Orleans, it gets very hot in August and September, the shipper is really not very good in the months when it is not terribly hot. They let stuff sit out in the heat, I guess, or maybe they play football with the boxes. they don't seem to pay attention to ''perishable' I have a long history with them delivering torn packages and weeks -ate boxes, etc. I guess.....in this case I will eat some of one of the containers and see if i die.I am not sure what could have been done to make sure the package made it here unperished, but ... it is not returnable, of course, and perhaps, like a great oyster, this yogurt should not be shipped in months that have no 'r' !!

I am familiar with La Fermiere yougurt; it is my favorite brand. I ordered it from Amazon. What a fiasco!When it arrived, the box was damaged and the contents, the crocks of yogurt, were room temperature. There was no sign of any attempt to keep it cold, like dry ice of the like. Needless to say, I had to throw it all away. Lesson learned; I won't be doing that again. A refund would be in order, but I'm not holding my breath.
