They don't make 'em anymore. Find a used one for cheap.
It plays DVDs and Blu-Rays. Best of all, it supports HDMI CEC, which means chances are it will turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI input, especially if your TV is a Samsung. If you're really lucky (like if your TV and BD Player are both newer Samsung), you can use your TVs remote to control the player! My old Blu-Ray player was still working fine for playing discs. I just wanted something that would automatically switch my Samsung TV over when I wanted to use it so I don't have to have several remotes. I don't care about the Netflix and all that, because those can go away at any time.I got mine at a very good, reasonable price. If you see this for over $100, (lately SEVERAL Hundred dollars!) I'd say keep looking. I don't know what's so special that demands those prices. It does have "Smart TV" features (like Netflix, etc.), but I'd recommend getting a purpose built device for that, such as Roku, because you never know when the next software upgrade takes away features you were using from your BR player or TV. I think you can only count on these players to play discs, and hopefully never "upgrade" themselves into being complete bricks.Oh: As for the network functions. I always recommend using a wired Ethernet port so you're not fighting with your neighbors WiFi. Wired always works better and faster than WiFi. This has a wired Ethernet port.Physical media is good! You don't have to depend on some outside service continuing to allow you to get what you want!

Great Little Unit - Forget the Cable
The Samsung unit is a great little unit. I did not expect it to be so tiny, but it seems well put together and setup was a breeze. I highly recommend the DVD player. The "included" (it was taped to the outside of the DVD box) is junk. It is very thin and I could not get any picture with it. Make sure you have your own quality HDMI cable for this unit and you will be very happy.

DVD Player
It was packed very very well. It was taken care of also. Easy to install and easy to use. It’s the same name as my TV and connected with ease. Glad I purchased it. Thank you.

They were not helpful at all and not very nice. They said that because I was two weeks ...
I have had a lot of issues with the product and with the company itself. First, it did not come with the HDMI cord that it said it would. I had to contact the people and they eventually sent one about a week later but for a week I was unable to use the product. Two weeks after the return deadline, it started messing up a lot. I contacted Amazon and they appointed me to the company that sells the item. They were not helpful at all and not very nice. They said that because I was two weeks late I couldn't return it but I could get another one. However, they didn't go about how I would be able to get another. I've had it for four months now and it is just gotten worse. It doesn't work. I can't watch Netflix or use Youtube. It pauses and freezes all the time. It is CONSTANTLY having issues. I always have to unplug and then plug it back in but sometimes that doesn't work. I checked to see if it was my internet connection that is messing up but it isn't. If I could, I would never have bought this product. I do not recommend it to anyone. If you are thinking of buying this product, do not. The company is not helpful and the product itself is terrible.

Great apps and disc play w/ easy setup!
Connects to my amazon prime and Netflix and has access to other apps like tubi and hallmark. I love that it hard wired into internet since my wifi is not reliably fast enough to stream perfectly. Plays dvds and bluray well. There isn't a light to indicate if it is on or off but that just saves unnec power waste. We like the simple remote and the software, it really seems like a great player.

Samsung Blu-ray DVD Disc Player with Built in
I bought this Blu Ray Player for my husbands birthday replacing the regular one I bought him last year, this one is the same one I bought myself last year using my gift card because it works perfect, does not overheat nor difficult to use. My only con is there is no light to show if on or off, but you quickly get used to this feature. It also rated higher than Sony and other brands, We all have Samsung TV;s exactly alike, 10 years old 31" with beautiful picture perfect screens. I was going to buy a New bigger TV but was afraid the next would not have the same picture quality. A definite yes
