Great supplement
I am a graduate student currently taking the first semester course of a two-semester run of biochemistry. If you are going to take a biochem course, GET THIS OUTLINE. Textbooks are pretty cumbersome, and after reading a given text chapter, it's nice to have a supplement like this to refer to for clarification. It also provides lots of sample problems/questions, all of which will lead to greater understanding of the material that you're learning. I highly recommend this outline.

excellent tool for review and getting into areas
I've always liked the schaums series and having it available on the Kindle in my IPad just makes it that much better. The pictures came across just fine and throughout the book seemed to be matched to the appropriate text.An example of why I like the Schaum series is on Enzyme Classification.First, the author provides a sport explanation and then there is an example, clearly labeled with graphics

Too textbook like.
Too textbook like. Too much text. I don't see how you can call something a review at 500 pages. None of the sample problems were multiple choice. Many of them were more illustrative of what the text was talking about and less for testing your knowledge.

Okay
This does a pretty good job outlining the basics of Biochemistry, I used it as an outline when I took an undergrad course.

It's a Book
I love these outlines. If you have a tendency to teach yourself more than be taught, and fall asleep trudging through random anecdotes designed to humanize and apply unnecessary practicality to the subjects you are studying, as I do, these books offer a cut and dry alternative. Perhaps not the best choice for a beginner to a particular course of study (especially if utilized outside the classroom setting), these guides provide a concise reference for brushing up or revisiting a previous undertaking without all of the trimmings meant to instill a sense of welcoming to unfamiliar territory.Best of luck.
