Perfect Lightweight Warmth for Trekking
I bought two of these to upgrade my husband’s and my gear for trekking in the Porcupine Mountains, and they were the perfect choice! These are lightweight yet incredibly warm and cozy, making them great for backpacking. I love that they compact nicely in their travel bag, which makes packing a breeze, and once unpacked, they fluff up beautifully for a comfortable night’s sleep. One of my favorite features is the included elastic cords that allow you to secure them under a sleeping pad, keeping everything in place. I also appreciate that they have no zippers, which helped lighten our pack weight even more.As someone with sensory issues, I was a little worried about feeling trapped in the mummy-style design, but the roomy toe box provided plenty of space, and I had no issues. At 5’ tall and with my husband at 6’, these fit us both perfectly. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a warm, lightweight, and well-designed sleeping system!

It's so fluffy!!!!
First off, I have been a fan of Alps Mountaineering gear for several years now. We own three of their tents and footprints that we use for backpacking, as well as chairs, tables, and compression sacks that we use with our travel trailer. Each piece of gear has been a quality, durable, never fail, item.I had already been using my mummy bags unzipped for decades, before quilts with foot boxes were even a thing. I was fed up with confinement and snagged zippers - long ago. My only hesitation for not transitioning to a quilt sooner - was expense. So when I saw a warehouse deal on this Alps Mountaineering down quilt, I jumped on it! And oh so happy that I did!Right out of the box, I found this quilt to be well sewn, with no flaws or short-cuts. The material is soft, not slick or sticky. The material is light weight yet a very durable thickness with NO feathers poking out of it anywhere. Each and every perfectly quilted pocket is equally full of down, which is VERY impressive, as there will be no shifting of fill or cold spots. The foot box seems to have extra down fill as well, right where ya need it.I laundered the quilt using our front load machine, down wash, and a low heat tumble with down balls. It dried quickly and came out perfectly lofty, with no sewing failures or feathers shed. The provided shock cord and toggles are sparingly lightweight but sturdy and adequate. Easily adjustable. The thinness of the cord is undetectable over/under my sleeping pad. While the quilt’s toggle loops were designed to keep the excess weight down, I do wish they were slightly more beefy to make them easier to handle in the dark. But the position of the loops on the quilt is just about perfect, so only one toggle needs to be undone for exit.I’m only about 5’ 6”, so there is plenty of quilt to wrap up around my head, and more than enough width to keep me warmly bundled without gaps.Even the stuff sack is beyond my expectations! Light weight soft material, but very sturdy. The seams and connection points for the compression straps are rock solid. Happily, the webbing straps and buckles are thin enough to save weight, but still adequately durable. The sack itself has enough extra length that stuffing the quilt into it is a breeze, and it all cinches down to a very compact size.Weights: Quilt is 22.6 oz, Compression Stuff Sack is 1.8 oz, and the Toggle set is 1.4.I won’t be testing this in below freezing weather to report on it, because my days of camping in the snow are DONE! But I have no doubt of the comfort capabilities of this quilt for camping in weather that normally sane people venture out in.I now have theeee most luxurious and comfortable sleep system that I have ever had!(Photo shows the compressed quilt in red bag at center top of my gear. Pack is 45L for ref.)

Absolutely amazing
Great loft, comfortable fabric, and minimal shedding. Easily meets its lowest temperature rating as I've used this for winter camping in freezing temperatures. The footbox is generous, but does seem to be the one thing I have issues with. My feet do get slightly cold if I don't bunch the footbox up. But it packs down amazingly. I'm also a side sleeper and find it is still wide enough for me. I've used it for both hammock camping and tent camping.

Good quilt for the price
The quilt is fairly light. I had to interact with the seller about an incorrect tracking number and they were fantastic to work with and we got the issue resolved immediately.

Good but Narrow
The 42 inch width listed in the specs is accurate. I was hoping the specs were wrong because most other quilts are in the 50 - 60 inch range. It is just barely wide enough to reach the ground on the sides when I am under it. I am 5'11" @ 180 LB. However, I purchased this quilt at 100 bucks, this is one of the cheapest down quilts I have come across and the quality and weight is pretty good for this price point. I would not purchase this at the MSRP which is double what I paid for it. I am going to sew some wings on the side to make it a tad wider to keep drafts out. I tested it in ~45° F and it was plenty warm but with some smalll drafts on the sides. I plan to use this for a late spring through early fall quilt and don't plan to push the 35° rating. The baffles on this quilt are sown straight through. They are not boxes baffles but that doesn't matter too much to me for the temperatures I plan to use this at. Overall I think it is a good lite weight quit and worth the buy.
