Synth for guitar players
I have been trying to add some synth sounds to my guitar rig for a while now. I've gotten one or two, but too often i feel like i need to take a college course to figure out how to use them, to say nothing of trying to figure out how to add midi pickups to my les paul without damaging it.This thing works for me. It can go right on your pedalboard, in your normal signal chain, and it has plenty of good, basic sounds- organ, bass, strings, brass etc. You can mix it with your guitar signal, split the two signals, or remove the guitar completely. The sounds are good but not spectacular. The instructions are a bit vague but again, it's not that complicated and can be used right out of the box.Works for me- a player who wants to play- not research on YouTube for days trying to get usable sounds.

Over 6000 voices
I think this comes straight from Malaysia! The cards read in some oriental language does not look like Katakana? The good news is this is a killer pedal! Stated there are 171 presets. Now multiply that by 12; well over 6,000 sound patterns. Then look at variations and it is getting near infinity. But wait there is more! Use the depth tone and speed with even more variations. Too bad Boss has had an inherent issue with writing cogent instructions. Even worse I have watch endless Youtube videos/reviews and the topic of how many variations are possible is never touched upon. I only use Organ, Strings and arpeggiation. With just these three I will be experimenting forever. Mine is run with an ME90 (Tera Echo chorus & compression) run through the FX loop on my Soldano mini while the SY-200 is direct. Remember the input (1/4 jack) is the on off while the other switch cuts the effect out. All the aforementioned purchased on Amazon! If you want to sound like Ray Manzerk (sp?) doing Light My Fire the SY-200 will deliver!

powerful little box
Very cool sounds and there is definitely a learning curve to learn this synth and get used to it. There is many options.

Amazing pedal!
The range of things this thing can do is incredible. I bought it as a way to add texture to my worship bands sound, as we don’t have a synth player, and it is holding up really well. This will let you do everything from making bass lines to creating atmosphere to playing leads. The cost of this pedal is pretty high for what it is. Sure it’s an amazing piece of technology and can do some amazing things, but $316.00 plus the cost of a power supply is a pretty steep price. For that money the power adapter should be included. I’ve bought Electroharmonix pedals for less and they ship with a power supply.Overall though, this pedal is the most fun I’ve had on guitar in a long time and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to use it to its full potential.

Great pedal !
I was thinking of buying a synthesizer like the Korg ms 20 mini, after buying this pedal I don't know if I really want to buy a synthesizer, it's the best pedal I've bought in 2024 ❤️

Great construction. Not great sounds.
Great for creating industrial or horror sounds, but not good in a band.Everything kind of has a buzzing beehive sound, that I couldn't get away from except on maybe two or three of the presets if you really tweaked them.
