Plug and play on my 03 SV650. Calibration not needed.
This is plug and play for my bike. No wire cutting, no calibration or programming needed. Works as advertised, but lags a little bit with the gear changing. Nice bright red display.!!!!!! UPDATE!!!!!!After using this for a while I'm still happy with my purchase, but the gear indicator does at times have some serious lag times, but even at its most worst lag it will eventually sync up with out your involvement. I have a feeling that this is more due to the ECM on the bike and not the gear indicator itself.Every day driving, is perfectly fine even if it's lagging a little bit from time to time. Rapid shifting, track days, forget it.

Doesn't work for my SV
The media could not be loaded. Doesn't work for my SV650, you can see in video it just goes from 0 to 5 and that's it. Never changes other gears and this is a replacement from one just because I wanted to try a different color but didn't want to pay the $160 for a "good" one so I know my connections work properly from the motorcycle it self.

Great Product
Fantastic product. 2005 GSXR 600. Plugged right into the diagnostic connector perfectly, and worked right away exactly as it's supposed to. I have the clutch lever safety switch wires soldered together bypassing the saftey switch. The correct gear is instantly displayed whether upshifting or downshifting regardless of the engine RPM. A mod to consider if you don't like having to cycle the clutch lever to change the gear display indicator.

Works good
Plug and play on my 2006 SV650 install is easy just plugs into Diag port would of loved a bracket but the sticky pad worked just fine on the triple tree. Make sure you pins line up correctly or it won't read signals properly and display flashing F!

I installed this on my 05 M50. The part of installation that took the longest was finding the diagnostics plug. It was truly plug and play. There's a small delay, but that's ok. I also got the clamp mount for the display and it works as intended. I'm not too sure about the double sided tape, but that's a small problem if it does fail. No complaints.
