Sure, but if you plan to use the APU for gaming without a discrete video card, you should get the highest speed ram you can. The GPU gets bottlenecked by the ram, so the slower the ram, the worse the gaming performance will be. I recommend 2133, or 1866 at the minimum. If you plan on getting a discrete video card, the speed of the ram you have doesn't matter as long as you're not using dual graphics. I don't recommend dual graphics with APU's, as you can only use an R7 240 or 250 with DDR3 (NOT GDDR5) ram to do it. You're better off just buying an R7 260x or R7 265 for a few more dollars than a 240 or 250 and using the dedicated card only.On the brightside, when DirectX12 comes out with Windows 10, it can use your dedicated card and your APU's graphics simultaneously to do stuff. Even if you're using an A8 APU with an Nvidia card. The APU is flexible enough to just use all the graphics processing power you have for gaming. Not for the same tasks of course, but different stuff at the same time.

Yes. The Kaveri generation all begin with 7. Previous gen APUs would be 6xxx, 5xxx etc. Their are 2 higher spec'ed kaveri units, but factoring price/performance, this one is a great choice.

The fan is included, careful the way you handle the fan the thermal compound comes unprotected and can be dislodged easily...
