Versatile Space saver
It took me four tries to finally get the right combo unit. Firstly, I have limited counter space. I wanted an airfryer originally. Got one but it had peculiar issues I was not expecting or what happens when you mix molded plastic with high heat. Decided that the unit I buy must be all metal with limited use of plastics both for recycling latter on and reducing BPA contamination. That's when I decided to look at the combi function appliances. Setting this as the prequel to my review for the purpose of contexting my following comments on this unit. I want to make it obvious That this item has limitation many of which have been written in previous reviews. Had , I had a bigger counter , more space ,etc. I would have made my kitchen gadgetry demands and purchases quite different.Pros'This unit does indeed do all that it is asked to do. It has plenty of power (Wattage) to serve all functions. It is well built , good looking on the counter takes less space than my old microwave. The microwave wattage is larger than my previous one so it does better than my old one. The unit produces no unwanted odors. It has smaller clearance valve to other objects and walls than most of the others, another important factor in my decision. The benefit of the combi functions where I can microwave and airfryer ( convection) or broil at the same time. This is a huge time saver in cooking while at the same time giving a higher desired result than just microwaving food. Personally , I would love to have bought the 1.6 cu ft. the 4 in 0ne model instead , but its size was still to big for my counter. Overall I am extremely pleased and would indeed recommend.Cons'Most who have read the reviews with this model will hear some of the same things regarding this unit> Alas, No mechanical device is perfect either by design or omission for the sake of trying to do to much with one item. So, yes the presets and the controls are a complete boondoggle to the mind and renders simplicity of use to the back of the line. I actually wasn't originally going to buy this, because of this fact alone, and did in fact try another model, one of my many tries. It was one of the highest rated and most expensive one. But it was a clunker to me and didn't at all appear to be built to last, I returned it quickly without a second thought. The number of combinations this unit has for cooking I guess just makes difficult for any controller to be easy and I assume they all suffer in this way. It is manageable and I am gradually gaining confidence in selecting the right combinations of pushes and selections to match my own desired cooking results.Other than this unit is operates flawlessly. Is easy to use and keep clean. I will address one other concern or flaw that some have commented on, "the moisture build up" . Indeed , if one does not pay attention this does indeed happen. It is a minor issue, INMO, that is easily remedied by leaving the door open after using the unit for about 10 mins. It does not happen all the time and is only the result of certain cooking functions and types of food being cooked ( mostly liquid beverages or soups and Microwaving). I assume somehow that this unit has an interior insulating blanket or mat to keep the outside metal from becoming to hot. I am guessing it also inadvertently creates a moisture barrier for the inside. As stated it is only relevant to to easily comprehensible cooking functions and types of food/ beverage which are understood immediately and one knows to not close door after this use and allow for unit to air out. Much like modern washing machines require that the door be left ajar.Overall a great purchase worth the money spent. Thanks.

Loving microwave & air fry features
Primary reason for purchasing this was to add a larger air fryer without losing counter space to yet another device. I was pleasantly surprised at how much better the microwave performs over the older 'magnetron' type. The new inverter-based technology is much quieter, uses less power and heats much more evenly.Air Fryer: While it's not better than my trusty old egg-shaped fryer, it can cook more volume and really shines when cooking something that does not need to be stirred multiple times. Frozen pizza is a good example. I like a soft crust and this air fryer is better than my oven, since the most intense heat is on the top . It's also much more convenient for most of my air fry cooking than the 'egg.' And surprisingly the inside does not get messy, so less to clean.Overall, I am impressed by this combo cooker. Love the stainless steel interior for easy clean-up. Also glad the control panel buttons are capacitive touch, so just a simple touch, compared to pressure-sensitive buttons. and finally, the control knob really speeds-up things for one-hand operation. The included racks and trays are great and very good quality.Sadly, it does not replace the old 'egg' air fryer, but mostly due to the fact I wanted the smallest sized microwave combo that fist up to 13" dishes and bowls (to save counter space). If you are less concerned about space, then I highly recommend ordering the larger unit, which is sure to be a bit more versatile than this medium sized unit.

Lousy at multiple things and doesn't even toast
This is too underpowered to be a good air fryer, microwaves slower than a cheap microwave, and accumulates tons of steam when you cook anything, essentially making all your food moist rather than crispy. The instructions are cryptic, with so many settings you need to refer to the two-sided menu card to see what to set it to. The accessories don't fit together; so you can't put a pan under a rack, and they require their own cabinet to store, since they're so bulky. The window is extremely dark, so the light is ineffective to see what's going on.We only used it to melt butter or cheese sauce. I've owned a few toaster ovens, air fryers and microwaves since 1983, and this is by far the worst one in any category. Donating it because I would never put this on a friend. We only bought it due to a kitchen remodel, and didn't want to take up the space for two appliances any more. If this is why you're looking at it, look at one of the Ninja 9 or 10-in-1 air fryer "Foodi" toaster ovens. They cost a third of this worthless beast, do a great job of airfrying, baking or making toast (BTW, the Toshiba can't make TOAST!), and easily flip up when not in use to free counter space. We've found ways around needing a microwave, but are currently on the lookout for one that is only big enough to heat a cup.
