I really like the high end quality feel of these handles. I've used this line on two of my houses to give the place a nice touch. They are more expensive than some handle sets but you literally touch these every day in your home. Spend the extra few bucks and enjoy the place you live. I also like that they are easy to re-key. The system they've implemented allows the owner to re-key the lock in mere seconds. No locksmith required.

I purchased this entry lever along with 2 dead bolts for my new house. My biggest concern when purchasing this lock set was making sure I received a quality product. This same set is sold at Home Depot. It appeared to be exactly the same as the Home Depot set. As I continue to update my house I am going to continue to purchase these locks.Install: I have installed several brands and types of lock sets before. I am no professional by any means. I found this handle to be very straight forward and easy to install. I wasn't able to figure out how to flip the key hole though. I wish I could install handles and dead bolts with the key facing the same direction as to not have to flip the key after unlocking the deadbolt. It is not a big deal though. To change the key was very easy. I think it took me all of 2 minutes to figure out how to rekey the locks. Since I purchased 3 different locks I had 3 choices of keys to use. I can now rekey at any time without having to go buy any more keys.Quality: I have had this set for 3 months now. I have not had any issues with the quality. The lock works the same in 90 degree weather as it does in below zero. The finish is still perfect after 3 months of abuse.Overall: I would recommend this brand and this set in particular if it is your style.

I found the installation to be very straight forward and experienced no problems replacing my existing lock set. Instructions provided are very good. The SmartKey is ingenious, allowing you to re-key the new lock within minutes to match any other Kwikset/Baldwin lock set that uses the classic Kwikset KW1 style key. This is a huge benefit for people who want the same key to fit multiple entry doors - no locksmith needed and you don't have to take the locks to your hardware store to get them keyed alike.Please note that very old Baldwin keys and locks are different than those made after Black and Decker bought Baldwin in 2003. If you are buying additional locks or deadbolts and want the key from this lock to match those, be sure to look for the "SmartKey" designation which assures you that it uses the same key type and will be compatible with this lock set.Lever handle operation feels very solid and sturdy; it doesn't wobble like some lock sets I have tried. Finish is quite dark and very attractive - looks like it should wear well. I would highly recommend this as a good choice for a new or replacement entry lock.

We ordered 35 of these products to replace all the old knobs in our house. They are very high quality, have standard spacing (can replace another brand of knob in a standard door without modification) and are easy to install. HOWEVER, THE WAY THE LEVER IS ATTACHED TO THE SHAFT IS UNUSUAL AND THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT CLEAR! I called Baldwin to complain that the set screw was missing and was told that it was in the shaft and not the lever. To install the lever, you insert the allen wrench through to hole in the lever and into the set screw. You then turn the set screw in the appropriate direct depending one whether the lever is right or left handed, to tighten the set screw against the INSIDE of the lever. To make things more confusing, if you are installing a keyed entry set, the set screw is on the opposite side of the shaft from the hole in the lever. you have to insert the long wrench COMPLETELY THROUGH THE SHAFT ON THE KEYED SIDE and into the set screw on the OPPOSITE side of th shave to tighten. The instructions do not tell you this so it is easy to think the set screw is missing because both the lever and the shaft only have holes leading you to think the set screw is missing. Shame on Baldwin for doing this to an other wise wonderful, attractive product!

I will put the same review that I put on the deadbolt locks. High quality! I absolutely love these Baldwin locks. I have never had any before purchasing deadbolts and levers for three doors. Well worth the money. I love the rekey feature, which is very easy. I love the fact that the key looks elegant...it makes me feel like a king! Could not be any more happy with their products. I am sold for life...but I do not think I will have to be replacing any of them any time soon.

I bought an assortment of Baldwin door hardware from Amazon and another builder supply site to change interior and exterior hardware on a home new to us and I could not be more pleased with the quality and overall value of these products. Yes they cost more but you get what you pay for. I've used the other name brands in my life and they were fine but this is a different class of hardware. This entry set is beautifully finished and SOLID as are the other interior privacy and passage sets I purchased. The locksets are all easily keyed the same by the homeowner. Of course you have to get multiple keys made of the one you choose to use but that's as simple as as a trip to the big box.hardware store I had already heard about Baldwin and this validated my thoughts. You will not regret investing in Baldwin door hardware.

Have installed these throughout my home. Baldwin makes an exceptional door handle. These are very well-built. Very durable. Easy to install and to rekey. Would use noting else.

This locking door lever was easy to install, well made, and attractive without being too fussy. It is perfect door knob for our intended use—on the door into our well-stocked wine room.
