Always and still do buy duncan jb/jazz combo. But this pickup with a jb trembucker sounds amazing..Great company.

Hard to beat the price, and Artec pickups are usually of good quality. These can sound a bit dark or muddy. Play around with pot and cap combos and you should be able to come up with a nice sound for an inexpensive build.

Got this for a Strat that I wanted an HSS setup without routing the body. For the price I figured it was worth a shot. It's a decently hot pickup with excellent hum cancelling. I had an issue with hum on recording on my computer even with shielding, and this fixed it right up. Also has 4 conductor wiring for splitting and series/parallel options. Honestly a great choice for the price.

Awesome pickup, for a fraction of the cost of the name brands. Used one in an esquire style project, and it’s a beast. Super hot, and it screams with 2 500k pots and .047 capacitor.

The wax potting on this pickup is done at the wrong stage during assembly, making it ineffective. Wax potting is meant to permeate the copper windings to prevent movement. These pickups have had electrical tape wrapped around the windings before potting. This results in a pickup where none of the wax permeates the windings and does not actually do its job. Be prepared to take the pickup apart and redo the wax potting yourself, unless you want a microphonic pickup.
