StauerMen's 1944 Ritorno Timepiece

I am a long time watch collector. Let’s be honest. This is an inexpensive Chinese watch. Having said that, for the price, it is a really nice time piece. It looks great, has interesting complications and although the strap is very stiff, I imagine it will soften up with time. Stauer has a very interesting story. I have several expensive vintage watches in my collection, and if you want an iconic watch from the 30s 40s, without breaking the bank, Stauer is a nice option. If the watch lasts a year or two, I’ll be a satisfied customer.

Small and not really for men but perfect for a petite woman.

This watch is absolutely amazing !!!!! I’ve had this watch for at least 20 years and it has gone through 2 crystal face lifts. The original band was leather and I had to change to a more solid band , I’ve changed the band twice to the design now seen in the photo……my watch repairer wasn’t sure how to convert it but he figured it out and the watch continues to live. I did lose a small micro hand and it was not significant enough for me to say fix it , …the time is consistent, the second hand sweep is accurate . Even after 20 years the watch is beautiful. I get so many complements about this watch !!!!!! Thank you Stauer for this model watch. I don’t think it’s made anymore , which makes it priceless to me …..

FAIR QUALITY, NICE WATCH NICE PRICE, CASEBACK LID TOO HARD TO OPEN

This is an absolutely gorgeous watch. I love the rear Hunter's type casing that allows you to open it and see some of the inner workings, but also adds protection. Personally, though, aside from the time, everything is a bit too small for me to read (but I do wear reading glasses). Even so, I would have given it 5 stars because that's a ME problem, not the watch. My only issue is that even with constant, all day wear (is an automatic winder), it does lose time... I'm noticing between 2 - 3 minutes a day. It is an easy reset & could probably be fixed by a watch maker, but as a newer watch, it should not be off by that much. Still, absolutly gorgeous watch.
