Minky Table Top Ironing Pad

This is a great buy if you need to iron an odd item now and then. I iron very little these days, but occasionally I find something that could do with a little TLC. Today it was a pair of my granddaughter's linen trousers that looked like a crumpled rag after laundering.Of course I've got a mega big ironing board tucked away down the side of a wardrobe and its a real nuisance to have to pull it out just for one thing. So I ordered this yesterday, it was delivered this afternoon, and the trousers are now ironed beautifully. The mat is folded away in a cupboard ready for next time, and no messing around with the ironing board!Having read other reviews, I took heed and laid a folded towel under the pad - both to protect my kitchen worktop and to give a bit of cushioning - the mat is fairly thin. Afterwards the worktop was only slightly damp, a quick wipe dried it off. Although the mat was folded several times to fit in the bag, it didn't have an adverse effect on my ironing, and most of the creases had disappeared or reduced at the end. The metallic surface is a typical ironing board surface and works perfectly. I also chose this for the size - some pads are tiny - only suitable for specific jobs - ironing hankies maybe! This one gives a very reasonable surface area - and I didn't need a silicone resting pad because most irons are kept on their heel.So I'm very happy with my purchase - and the fast delivery. Fully recommended!

Purchased instead of an ironing board which takes up space that I don't have. So , for ironing I use the worktop instead.Fits the width of my worktop exactly, and very easy to roll up and store when not in use. For me, a very practical, simple and effective ironing solution.

Exactly as advertised-no more no less. It says table top however I use this to iron on my bed and it works just fine there as well. It’s no frills but gets the job done. Provides a protective surface on which to iron.

Brilliant idea when you only have a couple of things to iron, it saves getting an ironing board out. It's big enough for a worktop ir table

Ideal for taking away on holiday

Decent addition to the camper van for quick and small jobs. Not the best for tougher to iron items but a good handy thing to have nonetheless.

Just the job

The mat is well made and a good size. It protected my tabletop from burns and damage however I have not given it 5 stars because the it leaves the countertop wet. Maybe if the back was waterproof it would prevent this issue but overall I am happy with it. I put a towel underneath when using and it helps keep the counter dry.
