Great pickups. Such a better tone
These really are the best pickups for a P-bass in my opinion. The difference in tone and output in comparison to my stock Squier pickups means that there is no comparison. They’re packaged well in a sturdy plastic box with all fittings, although in my opinion, the screws are a little short so I used my original screws. This may just be because of the depth of cutout in my bass. They’re a direct replacement for stock p-bass pickups which makes installation easier, and come with foam to help lift them into the correct position.Instructions are provided, but you do need a soldering iron and good soldering skills to replace them.Took me about 20 mins from strat to finish to install and it made my favourite bass to play sound pretty amazing. If you’re only doing 1 mod to transform your p-bass to sound better, this is the mod to make.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!
Okay... I had stock pickups in my Japanese 1984 Fender Precision and it sounded epic. A real 80s bass machine. .. but when I stuck the quarter pounders in there it as like. . . . 'I'll take your brain to another dimension!'. But now I have a session quality instrument with banging tone and super depth. So its a yes from me. . . get these puppies in your bass asap. . . yes stock pickups are great but these our #mindblowing

Seymour Duncan Bass Pickups
I bought these Seymour Duncan Bass Pickups because I've had experience with other Seymour Duncan pickups in the past and my experience is that they are usually very good quality. In this regard, I have not been disappointed. The pickups were very easy to install into my Fender Squier Precision Bass and the output range was much better than the originals. In addition, They look very much like the originals but have much improved sound.I was happy to purchase these through Amazon as I usually get good service in that the items are delivered in good time and are not too expensive. Again, I was not disappointed, they arrived within days and I was able to install and use the pickups in quick order.

Turn your budget Squier Precision Bass into a full blown Fender Precision for a very small cost.
These Seymour Duncan 1/4 Pounders make a Squier P Bass sound like you have just spent 2k on a proper Fender, i honestly cant believe how much of a difference they have made, nice twangy high notes with tons of sustain, turn the tone control to the lowest position and the low notes are seriously Bassy, perfect for Dub Reggae. The amount of extra control with the tone is incredibly. Very very easy to fit, best upgrade ever. BUY THEM!!!

O.K. I am a total No No when it comes to guitar tech. All I know is the guitar front men like distortion (lots and lots of distortion until you can't hear the notes or the oh so frequent mistakes) , but these pickups..... Oh yes! Powerful, clean, excellent reproduction, and a remarkable increase in control over tonal range using the same bass guitar electrics, namely a simple fender precision no bells and whistles, so full marks D. S. SBP-3. Delivered on time at a good price and a really worthwhile upgrade.

Quarter-Pound of a Tone Upgrade
Upgraded to the SPB-3 from the stock Squier pickups, and although there isn’t a massive night and day difference there is enough of a difference to tell. Very simple to install, very great sound, all around a decent Choi endor an upgrade.

Better than the real thing!
These are superb pups for the price. I've bought these a couple of times now, obviously to replace the existing ones - once on my Precision Lite which I turned into a very decent fretless with a highly varnished fingerboard. The sounds created by these SDs combined with said fingerboard can lead to some very satisfying noises right across the tonal range. I actually think these are superior to the original Fender pups in terms of tonal range - crisp highs, well defined middle and very warm lows, but more excitingly a very believable 'Jaco' style growl when called upon!

Great purchase
Replaced my Fender stock pick ups with these and really made a massive difference to my overall sound, much more balanced in terms of highs and lows.

What a big difference it made to my MIM P-Bass
Like most people, I was confused as to how I would upgrade my MIM P-Bass pickup. Meaning, there is no lack of choice when it comes to after market pickups for this style of bass guitar. As I never found the stock pickup all that good, as it lacked tonal range etc.I watched all the YT comparison videos and read the reviews here on Amazon (check out Manotick StringWorks - Fender Precision Bass gets new Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound SPB-3 Pickups... nice upgrade!) and made the choice. Glad I did, no regrets. At around $150, I feel was a very good and reasonable upgrade for this Bass. The swap out/in installation was very easy as there are only two wires that need to be soldered, and the 4 screws to mount the new pickup. Everything fit perfectly. If you have an after market pick guard, you may need to do some minor scaping if the fit is too tight.Happily in the Low-End.
