Yes this should. I had a fox rp2 and only use 9 of the 13 rings.

Is this now the correct kit for a 2008 fox float R? I see an earier review said no.

I think this is the correct kit, however contact Risse Racing co Redmond, OR (a bike shop who rebuilds them) also you need a special tool . Risse rebuilt 2 of ours (R and RL) with a 2 week return. Excellent service.
