Bought to replace our old hub that died, works a treat.

It’s a good hub, however my cat flaps are not the connect version, make sure you have the correct version before buying the hub.

After all the average reviews of the app and hub, it actually worked pretty well after a few minor set up glitches - mainly due to lack of detail or info in the set up manual.Surprisingly it was the door that didn’t work properly despite help from customer services.If you don’t mind the potential for some glitches and a nitnof hassle I would give this a go, when it worked it worked well.

I ordered this as new didn’t work contacted surepet support and person on the other end of the phone when I gave serial number advised this has already tried to be connected and didn’t work then ( it’s supposed to be NEW ) .. now trying to deal with surepet direct... after a few days finally go it to work was informed the hub wasn’t connected at surepets end and needed to be activated their end.... now working fine only issue I have is it’s not picking up one of my cats when going outside just get notification that animal has left .. think he is going through pet door to quickly

Awesome.. allows you to connect to some many Sure Pet items to monitor your pets. You can also connect households so if you are cat sitting or someone looking after your pets, then this allows you to connect to that household to monitor the pets. Pricey but worth it.UPDATE: still loving this 2 years on but the surepet app is RUBBISH has little to no support getting an answer out of them. It looks nice and the basic features are good but should anything need updating or removing.. nope! Awful

I bought this particular item to be used together with my surpet connect feeder, to understand and control the feeding habits of 1 out of my 3 cats. Unfortunately on the first hours of usage I notice a lack of proper connection with the feeder. Even though they are set up, paired and apparently working, the updates on the cat feeding schedule are not correct. A few time I saw the cat eating, but the feeding wasn't registered. Disappointed that I had to spend so much money on products that are not very trustable for the one purpose they are intended to be used for. An additional note that you must have Ethernet connection to be able to install and use this product.

Its a bit chunky for my taste and really doesn't need to be 'cat shaped'. i've got several other smart hubs and this takes up the most room and can't be stacked. I think they're being a bit gimmicky to shape it like this for no reason, there is no chance i'd have it proudly on display, looks like a child's toy which does not fit in my 'smart' home.But you've no choice but to use it, poor design SureFlap. Hopefully you create a smaller box next time round.
