Hi, they stack into each other when empty as the bottom is slightly smaller than the top.Curver do others that will stack on top of each other and I have both types but looking at the picture these ones stack ‘into’ each other if that makes sense? If you put these on top of each other with items inside then the top box will sit on the contents of the bottom.l

They are quite nice really for plastic baskets - no nasty frayed bits from the mould which you have to trim off to make them look nice! I have two under my TV where the DVD player used to be when we had one. They aren't ideal for that but I couldn't find any natural ones that would fit and I have got used to them now. Yeh, go for it and fill it with goodies for your old man - if he don't like the basket he can always chuck it away - they aren't expensive! You can get them in cream as well if that would suit better.
