It was eh ok I guess
It got here on time but it was missing the gasket tht goes around the top of the thermostat. It only cost me $6 dollars at auto zone though so I guess it was good

Do NOT have to throw away.
In the event your engine overheats, within the recommended life of the thermostat, three tabs catch and hold the thermostat open. Pressing the pictured tabs in allows the thermostat to close back to cold position.
