I was not only wanting a nice Good priced drill press but one of good quality, I must say in my opinion this is an excellent drill press came nicely packed, easy to setup good instruction manual, laser set-up a little touchy but really nice an accurate really well made the 1/" chuck heavy duty opens an closes with ease setting the motor speed only when running is easy with a little label guide printed near the upper belt cover, was way to set up, in the instructions say help w/ set-up friend or foe, funny I thought but I'm 68 yrs. Old and did it myself runs great nice led light I mounted it on a black an decker 425 wk. Bench I had for yrs. Gave me the perfect wkng. Height mounted it w/2 5/16" x 3" bolts with washers an self locking nuts, holes provided in drill press base and drilled 2 3/8" holes in the wk. Bench nich an sturdy. This is a well made an well engineered product if your wanting one at a great price an easy to set-up an operate I'd buy this one love Amazon great products, enjoy it'll definitely wk. For you, I got it at the sale price, get the 5 amp.

I don't use this on the daily, but it does get used quite a bit. Great machine for the garage and home repair. So far, this drill press has been worked harder, than a Craftsman I purchased for a lot more money & has relatively outlived it. The stock chuck is within tolerance, of that needed for carpentry work. Mechanically it runs sound and smooth, speeds are easily adjustable on the fly. This drill press did exceed my expectations.

Great price, love the adjustable speed and digital rpm readout. For a benchtop drill press, this unit is REALLY heavy, it really requires its own stand or station. It really can't be moved around much except if on a roller stand. The laser cross hairs actually do not line up with the center of the drill bit, not sure if that is adjustable or not. The built in light is very nice and convenient as well as the built in holder for the chuck key. The smoothness of the chuck rotation is excellent with zero wobble as one would expect. The adjustable table height is convenient with a combined lock/crank handle to raise/lower. If on a budget, this is a value and very stable drill press. Some minimal assembly is required.

Its doing great, very good buy. Would buy again.

The drill press performs well. I have not had any problems. I use the key chuck that came with it and that is fine with me. I would order again.

j have a old drill press needed an update this one not as heavy duty but works very well love the chuck and changing drill speed so much easy

This drill is okay for the DIY hobbyist and price. I work mostly with wood and this is okay for that. I don't think it would work well for heavy metals or for precision work as the chuck has some runout. Took a few times to get the chuck to seat properly as the first few uses it came out. But after replacing it and re tapping it in, it has stayed in. The depth locks do not work very well as they vibrate loose even when tightened with pliers. Would like to to see a better depth stop design. The light and laser work well. Fit and finish are on par with price of unit. Also I would like to see the chuck replaced with a keyless one, my preference.

I've never used a drill press before, but it went together quickly and easily. I used it with some circular saws to cut through ceramic tile and it made that job quick and easy. I'll probably get a lot of use from this for future projects.
