I bought this as a gift and I didn't know that it turn on and makes noise. I didn't have to buy anything else for this to be a great gift.

Works as intended. Light is just stuck on with double-sided foam tape. If the light is on, so is the siren. The description of "siren optional" leads your to believe you can have the light on with or without the system which isn't accurate

This product is so ridiculous, the light comes separate and you attach it with a piece of foam sticky tape. It is not meant to last especially if the hat falls off the toddlers head and the light hits the ground, it will be broken or the tape will get dirty and unable to stick the light back on after too many times. The hat itself was fine, but the light on top was poor quality. I thought it was a complete unit but it is separate. My grandson uses the light for other things during his play. If your child is wanting to be a real firefighter, I do not recommend this hat!

You get what you pay for. There is no way that I've found to attach the light to the helmet as shown. I ended up taking it to the back.
