Yes and No
For the price, I feel this is a great purchase, especially if your bird is a bit smaller and not overly distructive. Though it clearly not a pak-o-bird which is considered gold standard, they still incorporated a very thoughtful design especially for this price point. Not only does this actually includes some wire mesh on the sides which helps with safety and durability, but they window is large enough to provide great air flow. The top mesh is sadly plastic, but at least that helps with the airflow and visibility. It also includes a really nice metal tray with metal covering for droppings and this can be removed on it's own through a lower zipper - love that. It is comfortable to wear and easy to move around. What could be better - The bag is a bit smaller than expected. This is mostly because the top flap is more rounded than squared, so headspace is cutoff and the perch cannot be adjusted to help with this. My smaller Congo African Grey does fit and can use it, my larger Congo African Grey cannot - it's just too small. The food bowls are also very small and clip on. What would have been nice would have been the option on using a water bottle, even if it cost more and a more secure way to attach the food bowl.My overall opinion is that it's a really nice small alternative to the typical carry cage that costs a fraction of the price of the high quality competitor. It's compact and a great option for smaller birds, but with small adjustments could work really well for medium sized parrots. Definitely better quality than a lot of the other lower priced options.

Light weight. Good construction. Top Handle for ease of carry
This bird carrier is perfect in every way. Very good construction, light weight and having a perch is a plus. I did not use it as a backpack but carried it with the top handle. I was able to seat belt it in my car for the trip to the Avian Vet. That said , my Galah Loki hated it. Unfortunately for him it is a necessity for car trips

Careful with VOCs
It's a nice backpack but the smell is strong. I'm worried about the VOCs even after ventilating the backpack

Large fits my Eclectus
I bought this for my Eclectus. I used a cat carrier but he was so scared in it the first time. I washed to make sure I bought a bird carrier that was vented on ALL sides, had room for a perch and room for him to stand in the ground if the perch was to much for him to balance on in the car. This is perfect for car rides. He is about 12-13" long so his tail just touches the floor & the back wall with the perch in the upper position. At first this bothered him, but then he realized it's kind of helpful for balance. I didn't use the grate on the pan in case he fell. I think I'll put a towel there instead cause his snacks side around the metal and he can't get them lol. I didn't use the cups. Please be sure to get a carrier with lots of venting. Imagine someone putting you in a plastic box only 3 times your width and placing you in the sun for even a few minutes, plus your breathing. It will get way to hot for your bird. This one is perfect.*Note: If your parrot is a chewer and eats the bag somehow, don't blame the bag. That's ridiculous. It's your birds fault not theirs. Buy a metal carrier instead obviously.

Destructible
This backpack isn’t durable. Our Sun Conure chews through everythingggggggg. Clothes, silicone, his harness, clothes!! He managed to chew through this as well and let himself out. Thankfully it was just around my office. The perch didn’t allow his tail to rest confortably either. Its placement it is placed strangely. Maybe consider a bird’s tail sticks out further than their head. All the openings are great and it’s comfortable to wear. It’s just the mesh that needs to be reassessed and stronger for menaces like our bird.

Worth to buy
Our sun conure approved that. She didn’t fight with us when we put her in. We love to take her for a walk or go on trip. Also it is easy to take for emergency. We wanted to prepare because of wildfires in SoCal. We are far safe but you may never know. We will add a little more toy for her to keep herself busy. We did see our niece has one so we decide to find. And so happy that our bird approved it.
